This is amazing! Someone (perhaps you, LarBrd33) needs to get in his ear and tell him that people have been waiting for years now. Arm the catapults already!
He impressed a lot of folks this season.  Earned himself a fat contract down the stretch... maybe from the Celtics.

I'd rather talk about Steven Adams right now.  Dude is a beast.  Nearly 8 points, 8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks last year.  Huge future.  Only 21 years old.  Nice mustache.   If I had the roster spot, the lotto picks, and wasn't in the midst of a 1-week self-imposed suspension from sending trade offers, I'd pay a pretty penny for Steven Adams.

LOL! Am I getting under your skin. LarBrd33?? I'm not pimping Adams. I haven't brought up his name in a single trade (get me one GM who says otherwise), in public or private. I'm not the one who calls a mediocre player an elite and dominant player. I don't start  an actual thread on the blog pimping my players and then cherry pick comments that agree with you and use them during trade negotiations. You need a mirror in your house, dude.

Just to end this whole debate and ease the load on your pimp machine, I will offer you the right to swap 2016 second round pick with me for His Biyomboness!

BFM, I've made it clear already that Biyombo isn't being traded for anything less than a lotto pick.

I think you have a great asset in Steven Adams, though.   I tried hard to get him from you last year.  He would have looked great on a Bellevue billboard.

Don't throw out names of players from my roster to make it seem like I'd offered them to you or anyone else for a...well...you know two second rounders who are actually first rounders in real life. ::)

That's not at all what I said.   Recalibrate your hate filter.  I said that I loved Steven Adams and tried hard to get him from you last season.   He's a beast.  I like him.   If I had the lotto picks, roster space, and wasn't in the midst of a week-long self-imposed trade banishment, I'd offer you a fool's ransom for Steven Adams.

Enough about Biyombo.  If anyone wants to talk trade, my updated roster is below.  Dont be scared off that my average age is approximately 43 years old:

Kyrie Irving
George Hill
Trevor Ariza
Kawhi Leonard
Wes Matthews
Luol Deng
Nikola Mirotic
Serge Ibaka
John Henson
Blake Griffin
Ryan Anderson
Cole Aldrich
J.J. Hickson
Mo Williams
Tony Allen
Iman Shumpert

2016 picks: my 1 and 2, Bellevue's 2nd.

You can give me the #1 and #2 in this drat for Adams. Its really not that hard to get him.  ;) :P

I remember I tried stealing him from you by offering you Trevor ariza. He was 29 years old and averaging 29fp... He's a point-per-age type of guy. Will only go up as he gets older.  You weren't interested.

So, Ariza was the fool's ransom? Glad I didn't give up the hostage for that ransom. Considering the fact that I traded him for a first rounder (among couple others), which in turn got me John Wall (it was two firsts, right). You need to recalibrate your "fools ransom" meter.

If that's how it works, then I've got Aaron Brooks to offer to you. Will only cost a first round-pick-in-real-life that falls in the 21-26 range :P ;)

this is what happened to Charlotte over the course of the season, and why he has seen his role diminish as the team shifted towards wanting to win games.
....   Biyombo got more minutes as the season progressed and the inept Hornet management discovered that elite defense results in wins.   It's the same issue they have with MKG.  Go ping their fanbase and ask about it.   They have one of the most versatile and dominant defenders in the game (MKG) and yet they were playing him 24 minutes per game.  Shockingly, the team played dramatically better the more minutes they fed to MKG.  Odd it took them this many years to realize that... too busy letting Kemba Walker (and his 38% FG/30% from three) jack up 16 shots per night.

Last we saw Biyombo, he was spending the last 11 games of the season as the team's starting center averaging 30 minutes, 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, 54% shooting and 64% from the line.  Do you call that a diminishing role?   The team's best stretch of the entire season happened in in Feb when they won 8 out of 9 with Biyombo as the starting center.   How do you translate that into taking away minutes from Biyombo as the team tries to win?

Need Maxiel stats, though... so I guess what you're telling me is that of all the stats you could show me, the one you respect most says Jason Maxiell is a more elite defender than Biyombo, right?  I'll take your word for it then... if 32 year old Maxiell is available, we should grab him too.

The Hornets went 3-8 over their last 11 games.
Also, in February this season, they went 3-8, which you would know if you actually looked up anything on your own instead of bleating out numbers and dates you read in an article somewhere else.  This makes you look like someone who A) has no idea what you are talking about and B) someone who can't even be bothered to fact check assertions when they agree with his premise.

Further more, an increase in Biyombo's minutes did not correlate in a meaningful way between Charlotte wins and losses, as you can see here:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/biyombi01/gamelog/2015/#pgl_basic::9

If you don't want to come off like a ponce who has somehow wondered away from the Bleacher Report kiddie pool in the future, please do some research of your own. And since you were so quick to ignore my actual point, as you are wont to do when you find a tangent that you think you can argue instead of ceding a point I'll repost it again:

Quote
Based on the numbers, as well as the eye test, the incremental improvement that Biyombo could bring on the defensive end does not outweigh his total ineptitude on the offensive side of the ball.

If you are more interested in some players who were better defensively than precious Bismo, I suggest starting here:
http://bkref.com/tiny/w3Uwx

You will notice that his trash-tier offensive output more than cancels out his defensive impact
, which is what I have been saying throughout the thread.

Critical and almost fatal burn injuries being reported. Someone dial 9-1-1 quick!

Call the medics, Dude. I'd go myself but I'm pumping blood. Might pass out. Rest easy, good buddy, you're doing fine. We got help choppering in.

LarBrd33 really knows how to pimp his players. Flipped rolled dough for 2016 first rounder. And know Biyombo is the next best thing to happen to NBA. :o ::)
ive spent more time on this forum singing the praises of Nerlens noel than anything... And I haven't had a single trade discussion involving him ever.  Sometimes I comment on players because i believe in them.  I believed in Bennett.  I believe in Biyombo.  Believe in Bellevue.

UF: No, I won't trade u LBJ for Cory Joesph and a second rounder.

BV: So, Cory Joesph strait up for LeBron then?

UF: No.

BV: In addition to Cory Joesph what would it take to get LeBron?

UF: How about a few off those players on your roster that you refuse to to even discuss???

BV:

UF: You have the pieces to get a LeBron deal done, but u refuse to even acknowledge any of these players in our discussions.

BV: Ok, so tell me the players on my roster that u want.

UF: Some combination of Parker, Exum, Noel, Smart, etc... and a very high draft pick.

BV:

<time passes>

BV: In addition to Cory Joesph and my second rounder, which which is really an NBA first rounder, what would it take to get LeBron?

UF: sigh....

;)

Mk
Oh come on. He can't be expected to keep these conversations straight in a 15 minute period when he's having the same conversation with 3 other GMs.

I'm calling it now - next player to be pimped will be MKG.  ;)

He is ELITE. He is DOMINANT and he plays for Michael Jordan (that goes in your NBA resume, right?).

bfm, you're cutting and pasting D.o.s. incorrect statements from a different thread.  I've already put him in his place numerous times.  That dude doesn't need a cross-thread hype man.  He's brought up some flawed points that I've already addressed before he even brought up the flawed points.  Give it a rest, Flavor Flav.  I'm trying to move on from Biyombo in this thread.  If you have something of value to add, add it in the Biyombo thread that sspence started.

Oh, please! Anyone following that thread knows that D.o.s. is shredding into your Biyombo blitz. And those statements aren't incorrect.

There are lots of flawed points in that thread. But those aren't from him. ;)

It's abundantly clear that I'm in the minority on Biyombo.  It's certainly not the first time I've been right while the rest of this forum was wrong.  *shrug* ... Took time for everyone to catch up with me on Steph Curry and Rondo too.  Give it time.

And no... MKG obviously isn't available.  Neither is Biyombo.   Of all the assets on my team, the ones you're most likely to see moved are MMSB's 1st, Stauskas, Julius Randle or Otto Porter Jr, because those are the pieces I've received fair offers for.   I haven't sent a trade offer in a few days.   I'm on a self-imposed week-long trade offer banishment.  Only two teams have reached out to me on Biyombo and I've let them know that I'm not currently interested in moving him.
