To recap:
-I am a great player.
-Because our team sucks, I'm not in the all star game.
-Because our team sucks, we're not on television.
-Because I'm not on the all star game and we're not on television, no one wants to buy my shoes, my jerseys, or anything with my face on it... despite the fact that I am a great player.
-Because I am a great player, I want to be in the all star game.
-Because I am a great player, people should watch me on national television.
-Because I am a great player, people should want to buy things associated with me.
And this was at the end of the 2007 season. When we were awful. When we had been awful. When Pierce had been stuck, like Vince, like 'Melo, like T-Mac, like whatever disgruntled wing you want to name.
I don't disagree with anything he said, by the way. I just know that if "the snitchster" or "Vince 'no heart' Carter" had said it, y'all would've reveled in the fact that this guy was an egotistical quitter who clearly couldn't lead his team to a title.
