I know I was tooting your teams horn earlier, but I disagree. No way those three Western conference teams above me (Minnesota) would be victorious in a 7 game series against my team. Of course, the teams aren't completed - but c'mon bro! Be real!

Just to reiterate, my playoff teams were in no particular rank, and listed alphabetically.

I see IP and AB beat me to it

Truth be told, Minny is the favorite.  How can you not be, with Bron.

No Denver, the deepest team in the league? That overlooking the Nuggets a little, no?

You have a very deep team, yes.  Quite  lot of talent there.  The front court fit is odd, though.  Bogut/Monroe is the pair to start, but I just don't like Monroe as a PF as much as I do at C.  Add in Bogut and Varjao's injury concerns (Bogut less now), and it's just not quite good enough in the West, which is heavy on bigs.

Also, and this is a real difference maker, depth will only get you so far, you need a better "impact" player.  I actually have Dallas and Memphis ahead of Denver too.

Just my two cents

J.J. Hickson is clearly my man here with the final pick of the round. I've gotta say I don't feel too bad about it either.

I was wondering what people's thoughts were on Dallas?
I would start Kirilenko at PF and bring Faried off the bench as an energy/hustle guy.

PG - Tony Parker
SG -
SF - Gallinari
PF - Kirilenko
 C - Valanciunas

I think Kirilenko's superior ball-handling, passing, shot-creation and jump-shooting gives your lineup a much more balanced and dangerous offensive lineup.

Kirilenko is also still a very intelligent and active team defender who is more reliable and easier to play alongside (defensively) than Faried is so I think AK-47 helps you out considerably on that end of the floor too.

I really liked the Valanciunas draft pick. I think he is going to take a large step forward next season. Showed some very good signs last year with his post game and short to midrange jump shot. Just needed some time to find his feet in this league and improve his body and I think he has made major steps with regards to both this off-season.

Tony Parker is fantastic. He was the best PG in the league last year.

Gallinari is a tough one. Injured and expected to miss half the season I believe. Rough. I love his game when healthy. A very dangerous offensive threat and an under-rated defender (being 6-10 really helps him be effective despite dodgy quickness).

Not a big Faried guy but I think he would be a great 6th man. And if you decide to start him and use AK-47 as 6th man instead, I think Kirilenko would make an excellent sixth man too. So either way you have a major difference maker off the bench.

I think Jonas with his midrange jump-shot will help open things up a bit for Faried offensively but I don't expect Jonas to be a frequent / prolific enough jump-shooter to make up for Faried's lack of offensive skill completely. Just a little bit. I also think Jonas will take a good step forward defensively now that he has a year's experience under his belt and that he will work well with Faried on that end too. A good match.

I also think Jonas will do well in the PnR game with Tony Parker. And with Gallo, AK-47 and to-be-selected SG, I think you will have good floor spacers and dribble drive threats to attack off TP's kickouts in the PnR.

I think this is a much stronger team than it might look at first appearance. And might end up being under-rated as a result. Well, once Gallo gets healthy.
TP for the review, thanks a bunch
I'll be taking all this into consideration

I would like to counter argue and change your mind on your two pennies.

So Damian Lillard who pretty much looked like an All Star in the making in his rookie year is not a better "impact player"? And while this impact player takes a rest, Kyle Lowry takes the spot. A guy who can score and defend.

And the fit about Monroe and Bogut is a concern? Monroe made shots down low with Drummond along the paint, Bogut plays outside more than Drummond does with his high pick and roll game. Averaged 16 and 9 playing alongside a Center who has no outside game whatsoever, but found ways to score inside because of sheer skill. He's one of the best if not the best low post scorers in the NBA (you can debate Brook Lopez here). Here's a video of Monroe doing work down low, even on a congested lane.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RKe-nTl52w
BTW, that midrange game too, gives Bogut a ton of room to work for offensive boards, something he's really, really good at.

Bogut is also such a terrific passer that all he has to do is play on the top of the key, drag his man with him, let Monroe work down and pass it to him.

Andy playing hurt averaged 14 and 14 in 25 games before the blood clot, which is life threatening but not in any way career ending. And that level of production is coming off the bench, against opponent Centers who can't even sniff the floor for 10-15 minutes in real NBA games for obvious reasons. Bogut and Andy ensures rim protection, on any time of the game.

And as far as impact player, I got one of the more underrated ones playing at the 3. Don't believe it?

And no disrespect to Dallas (especially to fitzhickey) and Memphis, but they got nothing on Denver's frontcourt. I'd like to see Ilyasova stop Monroe downlow.
