if that's his ceiling then his floor is burning the TD Garden and becoming a supervillain.

I really hope he becomes a solid player.

Haha, fair enough. I agree that he will be somewhere between an evil supervillian named "the Hair" that burns down the Garden, holding Boston hostage in the process and Tim Duncan. I would say with 100% certainty that he will be somewhere between those two.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I'm not saying that he will ever be close to probably the best overall PF in NBA history. But I am trying to grab your attention by saying don't be surprised if he's a go to guy in two years.

I don't think that wild hyperbole is going to convince people of your point.

KO's efficiency was pretty amazing in college, though.  A .642 eFG% / .675 TS% is impressive, regardless of how weak your competition is.  I'll be curious to see how his shot is affected by stronger, faster, more athletic defenders.
It's super amazing that he got those shots off even in college. He jumps laterally, and usually ends up with an off-balance leaner under a defender's arm, while being elevated 5 inches from the ground or so.

He's either going to pass for extremely crafty in the NBA (if half of this works), or he's another Adam Morrison in the making.
"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

A Luis Scola/Greg Monroe hybrid is his best case offensively.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I've read what each and every one of you has said and...

I really, really hope he becomes a supervillain called The Hair that burns down the garden and wreaks havoc...that's what I've taken away from this thread.

Summer league may be way more exciting than the world could ever know...

I watched some clips of him... at no point did I say, "wow... glimpses of Tim Duncan on the offensive end".  Maybe Dirk if anything.   He seemed to move pretty well, have decent ball handling ability and a decent outside shot.

What's the worst-case scenario with him?  Poor man's Scal?

Tim Duncan, huh?  8) <-- Who's wearing green sunglasses?  ;D

Guys, I think I'm optimistic when I say Luis Scola with a better jump shot...and that's not bad at all!

However, if I put my green shades on, I'll go way, way, way, out of this world and say...Olynyk's Offensive Ceiling is Larry Bird!

Duncan and olynyks game do not really resemble. Duncan has 4 inches longer wingspan and uses the backboard alot. Mike muscala and duncans games resemble better, but muscala has a long way to go.

Olynyks highest offensive ceiling is al jefferson/ryan anderson hybrid.

If he develops inside fakes, angles to beat nba defenders and shoot lights out even from the three like ryan anderson. His passing and anticipation is already elite, but he just needs to figure things out/refine his skills. Worse case like ive said before is luis scola. Which is nothing more than ok and helpful to get production off the bench.

I think you're underselling just how good Scola was his first few years after coming over.

If you can get Luis Scola production from the 13th pick you take it and run.

Yeah! Scola today is one thing, but Scola when he arrived in the NBA (and before that in Europe) is quite another. Scola was good! If Oly can produce like Luis Scola in his prime, we got a steal at 13.

Quick question...how much does KO's vertical improve if he buzzes the mop?

There's gotta be a way to figure that out...force produced through jumping...minus 35 lbs of hair...too many numbers, but I'd love to know.

Still think he is going to be a massive bust, But that's just me. Time will tell.

Probablility says our default expectation for picks in his range (13 and later) should probably be "bust".

Or maybe half bust half rotation guy.

Yeah but then you mess with his hang time. His hair acts like a parachute.

Thats how he gets shots off with out getting high up in the air, his decent takes longer than his defender...
