If you're considering Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sullinger, & Jordan plus the draft picks dark days then sign me up now.

I don't recall dark days of the past being stacked with that type of talent.
This is hilarious, and also quite indicative of how short people's memory can be.

We had another team "loaded" with this type of "talent". I featured Pierce, Jefferson, Rondo, Perkins, Wally, and Delonte West.

Need I remind you how that went?

You're the only one that called that past team 'loaded'.  I never heard that.

Yeah, we had a team loaded with assets that got us a top 10 pick and Danny turned that into a contender with some smart moves.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I think it will get done, instead of giving two firsts for Doc we could get one first for Doc and then one for KG.

Or even better, maybe they will have to up their offer to include salary or Bledsoe when the league makes them rework it.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Small glimmer of light... yes..  Jordan does seem to be a GOOD sport about all this,  almost to the point I agree, he may want to make his own way to fame ...instead of hanging on the coattails of Chris Paul listening to him be a woman day in and day out.

Jordan will get all the minutes he stand,  and we'll get to actually see FAB MELO develop .

This is return of the dark days to Celtics basketball.    I like Jordans bright outlook and attitude  so far.  That is something.   Maybe it will spill over to the rest of the Celtics and who ever the nothing coach is to be.

Maybe one year ( before I croak) , the Celtics will rise from the depths of NBA hell and be a contender once again.

If you're considering Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sullinger, & Jordan plus the draft picks dark days then sign me up now.

First, Nobody knows how or when Rondo will return from injury. Take a look at D Rose. Sully is coming off back surgury so who knows with him either. Bradly, while a very good defender didn't exactly light it up in playoffs. I'm aware he was trying to play point, but that's not the soul reason he couldn't score and was a turnover machine. Jorden, while young and big, also brings next to nothing at offensive end of the court. He's a desent rebounder and shot blocker, that's it. Green is improving and is a pretty good option, but lets see what happens when other teams can work on stopping him because the Celtics have no other source of scoring. It certainly hasn't been coming from Bass, Terry, Lee or the rest of that bench. Lastly I could be wrong but I don't think you're going to get anyone special with a couple of late first round picks. I see team selling those for cash.
Sorry but I have to agree, dark days are a comming.

Who knows on Rondo, that could be correct.

Also though, nobody is taking into account what happens after the Pierce shoe drops.  Ainge isn't stopping right now.  He's not going into it with just Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sullinger, & Jordan.

That's not the end game, that's just the start.  A good start at that.

Does he make a run at Smith with recruiting Rondo in his buddy's ear ?  How can he grab a talent like Millsap ?  Does he get Big Al back somehow ?

A lot of questions still left unanswered.  The plan isn't just over after the Clipper deal.

Actually, you called that team loaded, implicitly. Arguably, it was "stacked" with more talent than next year's team: Pierce was better than Green, Jefferson was better than Sullinger, West/Wally vs Bradley and Perkins vs Jordan are pretty much a wash.

Just making sure that everyone realizes that's what we're angling for when they laud next year's Celtics as "stacked with talent".

Good. Hope the deal is voided. I hate this deal. 2 late 1st round picks and an overpaid center is awful.

Apprently the Clippers came back to the table because Paul insinuated he will leave if they don't make trade. I say Danny has the advantage and should either get what he wants (Blodsoe or salery dump) or walk away. Let the Clippers lose Paul.

homie, you're getting Jordan + 2 firsts for KG.  That's a fair trade & then some for an old man whose got 1 year left.

We all know Doc's contingent on the trade but technically you can't trade a coach.

Right now, it's about rebuilding this thing and you start with a 24 year old talented Center, & 2 picks.  Late or not, value can be found in any draft in the first round.  Ask Rajon Rondo (21st overall), Tony Allen (25th overall), Kendrick Perkins (27th overall), and even DeAndre Jordan (2nd round, 35th overall).

Put in the scouting work & you can find a player that will help your team.  Ask Ainge since he's acquired talent with those picks or even ask the Spurs Danny Green (2nd round, 46th overall).

Sources tell ESPN it's been communicated to Celts & Clips that league has questions about proposed deals and appearance they are connected

NBA rules prohibit any trade/signing being made w/contingencies or side deals. Can Celts & Clips prove Doc & KG deals are "separate" moves?

Yeah I think it's a trade that we have to make but only if we can stand firm and get Bledsoe or dump cash. Jordan becomes a nice asset as a young center with an expiring contract next year.

This is simple.  It's two separate deals:

1)  Celts release Doc and get two picks for compensation.

Once that is done:

2) KG for DAJ

The second one is contingent on the first one happening, but it's not contingent on the Celtics and or the Clips, it's contingent on KG waiving the no-trade.  He isn't doing that unless they have Doc as the coach. That is niether the Clips or C's fault, therefore deals should be accepted.
