Look on the bright side, nobody can ever take that division championship away, and they only give out 6 of those every year.  Good times.

Multiple reports coming out that Clips called deal off. GOOD!

Sounds good to me.  Hopefully CP3 calls their bluff.

what "bluff" are you talking about? sounds like the celtics were just asking too much for a 1 year rental kg (37 year old kg, btw) and a coach. the clipper called the celtics bluff.

The bluff where the Clippers are taking it for granted that CP3 will re-sign, and decide to get pennywise about landing him some impact help.

**** that's their value, why the **** would they give more than they need to? So boston can be happy? you guys are so used to get the better end of the deal, but when someone tries the same tactic on you ya'll cry about it

You sure do seem upset for someone who's been so adamant about not caring if the deal goes through.

not upset that the deal didnt go through, upset that you guys think that you were getting a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ty deal for a coach and a 1 year player

This is why the Clippers, deep down, will always be the laughing stock of the NBA.

Yeah.

How often do we see stuff like this?  A team refuses to let go of a player, and it bites them?

Chicago refused to trade Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich once upon a time because they were going to be stars.  Golden State refused to deal Monta Ellis and Andris Biedrins because they were building blocks.  The Clippers wouldn't move Shaun Livingston under any circumstances.

The Clippers wouldn't give up Eric Bledsoe and a #1.  Loser franchise.

If it completely breaks down, I will be rooting for Chris Paul to sign somewhere else and Donald Sterling to curse the day he tried to play hardball with the Celtics.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I feel like the Clippers were throwing a crappy trade out there just to say they tried to CP3.  They were clear winners of that trade and they aren't going to get a better combo than KG and Doc, so what was the point?  I really doubt thought that CP3 will be happy with the way this went, nobody was really saying that the Celtics would have been smart for taking that trade

Its official, the Clippers have ended this whole saga.

As happy as I am, you have to wonder, are the Clippers stupid?

Who knows whether this is over or not but I don't think this is surprising.  I think what the Clips are going to make a push for is Dwight Howard, not KG and Doc.

It is a simple deal, Blake Griffin for Dwight Howard S&T.  If they can do that, no way Chris Paul walks away and they can pick any coach they want.

The Lakers may amnesty Gasol becasue next year Kobe may not be fully back.  The year after they make one last Kobe run with Blake Griffin and whatever else they can assemble (Kobe may sign for next to nothing to allow flexibility).

Where does that leave the Celtics?  If KG can stay healthy, we are not that bad of a team.  KG probably won't stay healthy though, that is the problem.

So Doc and KG come back?

Even though it's obvious that they don't want to be here??

The Bledsoe thing, from talk I've heard, seems to be because they are trying to use him to land Dwight or another player.  You think they would take things one step at a time but again, this is the Clippers.

Ever since this recent resurgence, they have been close to contention but it's amazing they can still manage to muck it up like this.

Eh, we wouldn't give up Rondo in the Ray and KG deals.  The Clips have done some stupid stuff over the years, but I don't fault their management on this one.

They haven't made Bledsoe untouchable.  They just weren't willing to empty their disposable asset pantry for Doc and a very old KG.

I would rather have them all back one more year than to watch that deal go down...heck..i would rather they all retire right now than have that deal go down
