has anyone done the math yet to see if we have enough room to use the Bi-Annual without going into tax land (which we can't because we used the MLE)?
I've pretty much done it. We have room for the BAE if that's our last player. It's unclear exactly how much Lee signed for this year, but I'm assuming $5.29 million. It's also unclear on Bass's first year, which I've decided is $6.33 million, and Green hasn't signed, but was reported as having agreed to a $9 million first year.
That puts us at $70.8 mil, and gives us $3.5 million left to spend. We can't even afford three 10-year vets at the minimum. Accordingly, I highly doubt we use the BAE, and bet we pick up someone from summer league, or bring back more if allowable, to use one of the spots. That would leave us around $2.7 mil for the last two roster spots, which could be 10-year vets.
Below is my current estimate of where we're at. Note: Kris Joseph is assumed as making the roster. Also, his cap hit, due to the MLE rules, is equal to the min for a 2-year vet, even tho he'd be making the rookie minimum.
