The Cs replaced Ray Allen's 2012 $10 salary with Lee and JET making around $10m combined.  They replaced KG's $20m salary with KG's new deal and Jeff Green's.  There's no dead weight on the payroll (JO, Sheed and Shaq's money).  They've gotten a ton more depth for their buck.

Around the MLE, makes sense.

I wonder what the heck OJ Mayo was demanding, I assume it had to have been around the 8-9 million mark that we gave Jeff Green.

Fair deal, but why 4 years?

Anyway, sounds like the deal will start at approx 5.05m (essentially MLE money)

We're not going to have cap room for that long so what does it matter?
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Well, considering Mayo took half that to play for Dallas, I'm guessing Mayo just really didn't want to play here.  Mayo will likely be starting in Dallas.  Here, he'd be just another guy.

Guess it really doesn't matter.  Maybe Danny envisions Lee being a long term solution, in which case, matching his contract length with Green's makes sense, I suppose.

If there one thing Mayo has proven in his basketball life, it's that he could care less about what team he plays for.

I wonder if knuckleheads like Mayo don't want to play in Boston because he knows that he will be held accountable here.  Look how Dallas handled Lamar Odom's flameout.  I'm trying to imagine Doc and Danny having a lot of empathy for a recently acquired veteran who just couldn't get into things emotionally.

His agent, and most reports, say that he took less from Dallas than he would have been able to receive from Phoenix.

I wonder how you came to your conclusion.
