I'd rather not give up JJJ, and I'm not a big Kaman fan. He isn't an offensive threat at all. Basically just a rebounder. Granted, a big body that can rebound IS exactly what I need, and alongside KG and Rondo this could be a good fit for him.

Still ... skeptical ...

Not an offensive threat at all? I really question how much of Kaman you've seen with that statement. The guy has excellent hands, footwork, and post moves, combined with a nice mid-range jumper.

Dude was an All Star Center when he was healthy and playing with a still productive Baron Davis. When healthy and playing with a quality PG he is very good. He is healthy right now and Rondo would arguably be the best pg he ever played with.

Huh...that seems like an odd choice. Why give up JJJ? Unless you're resigning Kaman at the end of the year (which they might try to do), it makes little sense to me. I'd rather give up a future (protected) first rounder than JJJ, and I would think that would be more valuable to the Hornets too.

If this offer is real, I'm guessing JJJ's inclusion is in lieu of a future draft pick.

The Celtics still have two first rounders and NOH gets another prospect.

If the previous rumors about NOH asking only for a 2nd rounder are true, this seems like a fairly attractive offer.

Yep. Seems like including JJJ is the sweetener needed to trump a potential Indiana offer of pure financial relief.

Hopefully we're not setting ourselves up for another missed out acquisition to Indiana. Larry already hit us once with the David West signing, this would be another frustrating jab.

Hypothetical: would you prefer to make this offer for Kaman, or save JJJ and trade JO and Wilcox for Marcus Camby instead?

I'd like to keep Garnett at center. He's been playing great there.

Getting Garnett more big man help is a priority but I wouldn't necessarily be looking for a center. I'd prefer a power forward if possible.

Get it done move KG back to the 4 gives us a legit 7 footer. Move bass back to the bench maybe looks to add 1 more scorer off the bench and gear up for the playoffs.

Why do we like balding white centers?

Pick up Diaw after he is bought out.

I think Sunday was an example of why Garnett cannot be our primary option at the 5 spot. Although, Bynum is playing out of his mind right now. I would welcome the addition of Kaman.

Exactly. And adding Kaman wouldn't mean that KG wouldn't play the 5 at times. Doc would probably have a 3 man big rotation (KG, Kaman, Bass) with KG playing the 5 when paired with Bass. It's just nice to not have him shoulder the center role the majority of the game.

Yeah KG has been dominate defensively at the 5 and offensively his game has stepped up a notch. Opposing Cs are too slow to contest his jumpers and he's getting more switches for mismatches as well.

Starting Kaman and bringing in Bass would also go a long way to solving Boston's lack of bench scoring.

Kaman is a legit center--younger and better than Camby.  JJJ is quite possibly too frail to play in the NBA he can shoot but will he ever be able to guard anyone?

We haven't had a center of Kaman's quality since Perk and Perk was never an all star.  Kaman would make us a contender.

Get this deal done!! Kaman would give us 14 and 10 and would solidify the frontcourt. KG and Kaman starting Bass and Stiemsma or free agent pickup off the bench. Then dump Pav and Daniels or trade them for a cheap young guard
