The trade came down to me botching the pick last round with Splitter, and wanting a better fc mate to pair next to Howard. Gallo is a good player in a down year, Millsap is a slightly better player in a up year.

What didn't you like about Splitter?  Also, what do you mean by down year and up year?  This has probably been Gallinari's best year despite his 3PT% being slightly off, while Millsap has regressed a bit since last season.
How has Milsap regressed? He's producing almost identical offensive production (better FT shooting, worse FG%, but fewer turnovers) but he's upped his rebounding on both sides of the glass by quite a bit.

His minutes have dipped, but I don't think that is related to his play as much as Kantor giving them more minutes than their previous backup Cs.

Everybody should have seen this coming, everyone who Nick and I have on our teams turn to gold.

Trade:
Knicks trade: Danilo Gallinari and Tiago Splitter
Jazz Trade: Paul Millsap and 3.12

Hmmmm, Knicks definitely will have the best rebounding team in the league.  I did really like that Gallo brought to the table though.
The Cavs disagree

On what grounds?
Bynum, Humphries, Deng = 30 RPG

Also rebound rate Bynum and Humphries both in top 8 for league while Deng is 5th amongst starting SFs

Lowry, Howard and Millsap average 29.6 rpg.  And Millsap rebounds with Al Jefferson another very good rebounder.  Humphries is the only one collecting rebounds on the nets.
Don't the same arguments hold true for Howard and Bynum?

Howard is the only rebounder on his team and Bynum rebounds opposite Paul Gasol.

If I add the PG Irving is a top 8 rebounder amongst PGs with 3.5 per game.

I think its close but I wouldn't claim definitely one way of the other that either team is clearly a better overall rebounding team.

The Heat are bored. Make a competitive offer for any of their players, get a TP.

Ryan Anderson is'nt bad, but you make a fair point.  I dunno, I think the Cavs are good, i forgot about humphries when I responded cause I didnt see him in your signature, but I still think the Knicks are the best.

Nice balance, once everyone gets healthy.  Definitely a huge improvement over the real Hornets.

Like the Teague pick. Was surprised that some other PGs came off the board before him.

Once healthy, should be a very good squad.
