At the right price all teams would probably take a chance on him.  The question is, out of 28 other teams, can Danny be the high bidder without paying too much?

An O'Neal for him trade works straight up but I doubt Sac would do it for just that.  It would take a number one I would wager.

I've met him once last year and he is nice guy.   I think he is young and immature more than a headcase.

If he could be had for cheap like Beasley to Minnesota or Okur to the Nets then it's a no brainer.

I think this may be a major issue with the league in the future.  You have all these big named guys basically forcing their way out of town to go to a place where they want to go.  Now we're getting a second year player doing it who hasn't really accomplished much yet.  This really could be a problem if more players start doing it.
do it

(1) Brook Lopez for Cousins
(2) Josh Smith for Cousins
(3) Chris Bosh for Cousins (doubt Riley is willing to trade Bosh so soon though)
(4) Roy Hibbert + Paul George for Cousins + Thornton + something
(5) Iggy for Cousins
(6) Monta Ellis for Cousins
(7) Kyle Lowry, Chase Budinger, Patrick Patterson and pick(s) for Cousins
[8] Derrick Williams for Cousins

Jermaine O'Neal + first round pick for DeMarcus Cousins.

They waive Jermaine's contract, and he signs with a contender for the vet minimum (Heat anyone??). Jermaine only wants to play for a contender, and i don't really think Sacramento needs him.. at all.

Why the Kings would do it? Why they would let him go for a draft pick? (considering they waive Jermaine or amnesty, whatever..) because they're stacked with Forwards and Centers.. The last thing they need, is another player back, stealing minutes..

Playing alongside the big 3, Rondo (Imagine him lobin' it up for DMC.. the Kentucky connection!) and being coached by Doc.. I think this is EXCATCLY what this kid needs..
Doc's gonna tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

Yeah iknow, my username is Kendrick Perkins and my ranking is Jeff Green. Ironic huh?

Cousins I think is only 21 years old. He needs old school leadership and someone he respects to coach him. I can see the Lakers getting him for nothing.(nothing new here)..

The Lakers still have the abilitiy to get who they want for lopsided trades.

LA can always trade 1-2 average players plus their intangables...ie , SUNSHINE , crackhead movie stars and Disneyland to get anyplayer they want.

Maybe Metta Peace could mold him in his likeness.

Has anyone seen the twitter feeds out today?  Sacramento does not want to trade him. Only in a worst case scenario do they do this and they haven't hit that level yet.

I think that is what they have to say in case a trade falls through. What they say publicly and what they actually do are two very different things.

"The Boston Celtics would be a good environment for Cousins, and perhaps he could learn enough from old dogs Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett (despite his antics in games, Garnett has never been a problem for coaches and set a tone of defensive accountability from the moment he arrived in Boston) this season to be a building block for when the team moves forward without the Big Three."

we did have marbury and nate robinson come here without a hitch.

Love the idea. We have nothing to give up for him however.

1-injured for 12 weeks minimum
2-would be redundant with thornton, hickson, salmons, unless they unload salmons
3-not happening
4-not happening,Bird wouldn't blow his team up to get DC and Thornton
5-same as 2 the kings have thornton, hickson, salmons unless they unload salomons
6-same as 5 only here they wouldn't want another head case
7-don't think they overpay like that for cousins, his trade value is like 1/5 of his worth right now.
8-derrick is going to be a player, not happening.

9-Dejuan Blair for Cousins might be the best offer on the table, high character guy is what the kings need
10-Brandon Bass, but he's our best player off the bench so far.

I would do Oneal, Bradley, a 1st, and a 2nd for him, he's got the talent to be a building block.

Immature punk who cannot stay out of foul (and tech) trouble every game. Stay away, unless you can get him for close to nothing.

I believe we are not allowed to trade consecutive 1sts, but we can trade our 1st and the clippers 1st. I would throw in JJJ too if it gets it done, and Oneal for salary.
