No way..no trading off Rondo.  We'd be up the creek without a great point guard.

wouldn't be suprised if danny thought long and hard about rondo for cousins and evans, although i think they would have to pick up garcia's contract.

something like
garcia+evans+cousins

for

rondo+bradley

for sac i can't see how a back court rotation of jimmy, evans and thornton will ever work.

I would be willing to take back the Garcia contract only if they send us a 1st rd pick. In fact, I would even be willing to swap picks with them in order to get their 1st. You could potentially have Cousins, Evans, 1st rd pick (A. Rivers for example), and Green as a young nucleus moving forward. Trading Rondo is hard, but something like that would be really hard to pass up.

Do the kings have any bad contracts on their books?  John Salmons makes 8 mil for the next 4 seasons... He kinda stinks, doesn't he?

Maybe if you take back his bad contract you can do something like Bass + Jermaine's expiring contract + multiple 1st rounders for Salmons and Cousins

^salmons might not be the best player in the L, but he can fill it up on his night, and is decent.

having said that, i don't think it's worth giving up that much for cousins, especially considering how well bass has been playing off the bench for us. if you're thinking win now, then this package doesn't make sense.

if you're thinking longterm/future, then this package still doesn't really make that much sense, as bass would be a nice piece to keep, and we don't really want salmons' contract for the next 4 years.

as much as i would love to have cousins, i doubt that we have a package that would fit both teams. still gotta hope that danny will give it a shot though!

problem is that i don't think we can trade bass, wilcox, dooling or sasha till march.

otherwise you could try a jermaine+wilcox+bradley for salmons+cousins, although salmons contract is very ugly, and sac still have there amnesty clause available.

We have 2 late/mid teens picks in the draft. We could trade up and probably get one of the top point-guards and develop him.

I think JO would retire if we traded him. At least that is what he said when his name came up in the whole David West scenarios...

Trade the picks for him.

Salmons is pretty solid offensively....can light it up.  It's how he got his 8M...but can't deliver consistently enough to be "the man."  Great #3 option.  I'd take him in a second.

Rondo
Salmons
JGreen
Bass
Cousins

PP: 6th man.

Trade picks like crazy.  This lineup has potential.

Trade machine lets you trade Dooling, Wilcox, Avery and Bass. But not JJJ, ET, Sasha, Marquis, or Pietrus. Also they just updated it with new salaries. Only person I would be willing to give up would be Wilcox.

  • Rondo = Good
The T-Wolves should trade for him.  You think he'd be happy with Rubio getting him easy looks?

Beasley and Cousins are a recipe for disaster. I think Cousins needs to be on a team with vet leadership, not a young team like the Wolves.

I actually think the trade that would make sense would be Beasley for Cousins.  Trade talented headcases for each other.

The Kings get a better talent than they would otherwise get for Cousins, and the Wolves open up minutes for Williams.
