Two sources confirm @ESPNSteinline report that Dallas has agreed to send Rudy Fernandez and Corey Brewer to Denver for future 2nd rounder.

- Sam Amick
If that's all it cost for those 2, how could Danny have missed out on them?   2 wings, 1 a shooter off the bench and 1 a defender.  both can play uptempo.  I'm sure something could have been worked out

I've been thinking about this all day, especially when  Daniels
(because of health)and Pavlovic aren't as good as Fernandez and Brewer. Not only that, they could have been a few more young trade chips to try and land a big name in Boston....

If we are going to build around Rondo we need all the shooting we can get and I think Fernandez would be deadly shooter with Rondo's passing ability.
IMO Fernandez and Brewer are better than Daniels and Sasha.  Daniels has some nice versatility as a player but he has major health issues.  I think Fernandez and Brewer are both better than Sasha.

We didn't have the cap space to absorb them.  Dallas just wanted a salary dump.
that would be the only reason I could think of but I'd hope Danny could have figured something out.  he was trying to work magic to get CP3 or West.  this should have been a walk in the park for him.

Following the loss of Kwame Brown, the Charlotte Bobcats are planning on starting Boris Diaw at center to begin the season. Still, undecided on who will start at the four but Tyrus Thomas looks the favourite.

That will be an exciting duo. The ball-handling, passing and slashing of Diaw + the quickness and explosiveness of Ty Thomas. Looking forward to that now.

They hope that Diop can take over at center once he loses the excess 25lbs of flab and gets himself into proper conditioning. Still no word on Biyombo. His court case starts in five days (to try and get out of his contract and join NBA).

Good replacements for JR Smith and Chandler.

What happened to those two? Is Denver *not* resigning Chandler?

Thanks. Chandler, by the way, is one player I'd love to have on the Cs.

The Nuggets have no interest in signing JR Smith or Kenyon Martin either.

They do want to keep Wilson Chandler though. Take a lot of money to pry him away from there. You'd have to overpay him by a quite a bit ... I reckon around $10 million per annum on a 4 year deal.

McRoberts isn't a good rebounder. His rebounding rate in the last 2 years was 13.2% and 13.3%. And it's not like he was playing alongside good rebounders. Mediocre.
I am quite surprised by those rebounding numbers. I thought they were higher.

Probably would have preferred mcroberts 2/6.1 over Wilcox 1/3

Yeah i think the McRoberts deal is a good one by the Lakers, i would've liked him on the C's.

I mean he's still only 24 years old.  He made big strides accross the board from 2009.  10 minutes more per game, shot 55% from the field, 38% from 3, dramatically improved his FT shooting...His body still isn't there yet to physically challenge the bigger power forwards, but he uses his height, length, and athleticism to alter shots and contribute defensively.

Whereas Wilcox has maxed out, i think the Lakers are getting a guy who still hasnt reached his ceiling yet.

I like his game... Reminds me of a more talented, more physical Adrian Griffin.

He should go to Charlotte. They need scoring badly, and can probably give him the most minutes.

I've been a fan of Reggie William since his D-League days. I hope he's been working hard on his left hand. That was always his weak point. Makes him easier to defend. Talented offensive player nonetheless.

----

As for McRoberts and Wilcox:

McRoberts is slightly better offensively. He's a really good passer and ball-handler (the advantage can be larger depending on the system they're playing). Unlike Wilcox, he can hit his set jump-shots, even from beyond the 3pt line. Wilcox is a better pick'n'roll player. Both are opportunistic scorers who can't really create their shots. Good finishers.

He's also slightly better as a defender. Two players who look like they could be good defenders due to their athletic abilities but aren't. McRoberts is a little less clueless. More intense.

Wilcox is a bit better as a rebounder. McRoberts is too soft and takes an eternity to leave the floor.

Overall McRoberts is the better player, especially if you want passing and some spacing from that big, but I don't think the difference is significant. Considering the longer contract and Bass+Green+JaJuan Johnson poor rebounding, one can argue Wilcox is a better fit.

Which is perhaps why Jeff Green was signed to a $9M deal...
