I just hate the Boozer & Kaman combination with all my heart. I hate them as individual players, and I hate them even more as a combo.
Out of curiosity, what is it that you hate about Boozer as a player, but like in Zach Randolph?
I think they're very similar players, except Boozer has generally been more efficient and is more gifted / willing passer.
Admittedly, I could be a little short sighted here, though I've never been Boozer's biggest fan.
But with the Bulls, particularly in the playoffs, he was a negative. His offense was sporadic, at best, and even on his best offensive night he gave that much and then some with his clueless defense.
I know you swear he's a good one on one player, Roy, but honestly I've never seen it. But I'll 100% admit, you probably saw him on the Jazz a lot more than I have so I'll take your word there. But his defense on Chicago was pathetic. It's shocking how clueless he was in Thib's system.
Also, and I won't be able to find stats to back this up, but I've never felt like he's been a guy who plays well when he's against a top notch opponent. Similar to Antoine, where I thought he beat who he should beat, and got beat by who he should got beat.
Meanwhile, Z-Bo showed to me to be a go to scorer you can rely on. He was so hot in the playoffs, and I'm summing up something you said, Roy "It didn't matter who was guarding him, he's unstoppable."
I've also become really impressed with his basketball IQ. His intelligence about positioning is incredible. He seems to know when to hold onto the ball, when to kick out, when to reposition. Everything.
