Disagreement with your evaluation of a player doesn't mean others "miss the subtle changes they make to their games". I just don't get what you're arguing honestly. Should people be more open to others points of view, okay?
As for the specific player, Nick Young hasn't changed much since his rookie year, he just got more playing time.
I also hate to the whole "he rebounds better than Gordon/Terry/Crawford" and same as Ellis line. Because those guys don't rebound either! But they do other things a lot better than Nick Young (which is why they were picked higher)

Is it getting hot in here or is it just me....

Last comments on a guy i traded two 12th rounders for....
Faf, i never said if folks disagreed with me they were missing the subtle changes in a players game.
My initial comments were directed at Rondo's assesment that he "really [didn't] like Nick Young as a core piece of any team that is serious about winning" because he's too much of a chucker on offense.
I felt like that was coming from -- and I'm sorry if i've put words in your mouth Rondo -- from the same place as your comment that "Nick Young hasn't changed much since his rookie year"... which is an assesment that some Wizards fans would disagree with (and some would agree with to be fair).
Ultimately, I'm arguing about Young's relative worth to our team.... I find it hard to believe that a guy like Nick Young would derail a team "serious about winning" (a) when he's slated to be our 6th man (a la other offense-first guys like Jason Terry or Jamal Crawford) and (b) when we have solid no-nonsense guys like Duncan and Deng leading the team (something Washington has never had in his time there.) If Duncan kept SJax in line to win a ring we think he can handle a guy like Nick Young.
I was careful not to say Young rebounds better than those other players but that his rebound % is similar to other SGs that are considered shoot-first.
Let me be clear: Young is an above average scorer who gets fewer rebounds & assists than the average SG.
But to say he's can't be a part of a winning team is glossing over his overall skill set IMO.
Bill Russell always said (something like...) that the role of a team is to utilize each individual players skills to the service of winning.
We felt we needed some bench scoring and that Nick Young could provide that much more than Reggie Williams. So we made the trade.
I just hope NY Knicks' playoff aspirations don't hinge on folks' assesment of Nick Young.
Ubuntu Y'all!
