With their 3rd-round pick, (36th overall), in the 2011 CelticsBlog Draft, the South Beach Samurai, (Miami Heat), select 6'3", 210-pound Point Guard from George Washington High School ...

Chauncey Billups

:)

BOOM! I know of 4 teams that are ticked.

Couple guys I'd definitely consider moving up for here if I didn't already have that position filled.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I like the Billups pick. Not really in line with a 'rebuilding' team but on the other hand, a team without leadership to show by example is usually doomed to wallow in mediocrity.

Thanks. I definitely needed a bit of experience in my "Floor General", along with some scoring and fairly high assist rates ... had a couple other players on my list at BPA, but Chauncey fit the bill too nicely to overlook him.

The Phoenix Suns are very happy to acquire Lamar Odom.

The Suns had Odom ranked in their top two entering this round along with T.Parker and are very surprised to see him last until the seventh pick.

Manu & Odom is a pretty fun combo

Very nice. Liking the Odom/Ginobli combination. Versatile veteran players with lots of rings between them.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Edgar you robbed me blind.

Anyway...

With the 17th pick in the 2nd round, the Orlando Magic choose:

Al Jefferson

I don't understand this pick. There's a center available who I think is SIGNIFICANTLY better

I get the pick.  His low post game is the best offensive weapon left in the draft.

I disagree there too, I got one guy offensively ahead of Al Jefferson though they're quite different.

As Evantime said: He is not the best low post scorer available. He is the only low post scorer available. I was going to pick Monta and worry about a big nest round, but I took the best available 4/5 and ran with it. Sorry I didn't pick Darko  ;)

Anyway props to the E. Gordon pick. COMPLETELY forgot about him.
  ;D

You have an old Tim Duncan and a high volume shooter on a bad team. Get real before the Yoda pics. Or PM if its really a problem for you

A) He's a "High volume shooter" that shoots roughly the same percentage as Melo.

B)

Any more cute pictures to back you up? I'm having a lol fest on my roflcopter right now but ....

 ;)
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I wish I were in this draft right now. I think I could pull some real winners... cousins pick shocked me a bit. There's a list of forwards I would probably pick in front but I haven't seen him play enough I guess.

I expected Lamar to get drafted around here but I don't like him personally so I would have probably passed. He's still a good pick by all means.

Become Legendary.
