Thoughts on the last few picks/comments
1. Kobe has one of the top basketball IQs? Is taking a fall away while double covered a smart basketball play indicative of a high basketball IQ?
2. Ellis and Deron could be a great combo, if Deron can control the ball and limit the number of bad shots Monta takes. If Ellis takes the ball out of Deron's hands too much it's a terrible pairing.
3. Eric Gordon has been the best player available on my board since I picked Josh Smith. He is very good. People don't know about him because he plays for a losing team and he was hurt a lot.
4. Al Jefferson is not the best low post scorer available. He is the only low post scorer available.
5. Like all these picks, people need to stop picking off my best player available list otherwise I'll have no idea who to draft when my time comes around.

Kobe definitely has a high basketball IQ

IQ and voume scoring are great things, but there's only one ball to play with.  Two of these backcourt teams need to eventually decide who is taking the ball up court and who is standing in the corner.

That's what people said of Wade and Lebron... yet they were in the finals.

Become Legendary.

Edgar you robbed me blind.

Anyway...

With the 17th pick in the 2nd round, the Orlando Magic choose:

Al Jefferson

I don't understand this pick. There's a center available who I think is SIGNIFICANTLY better

I get the pick.  His low post game is the best offensive weapon left in the draft.

I disagree there too, I got one guy offensively ahead of Al Jefferson though they're quite different.

As Evantime said: He is not the best low post scorer available. He is the only low post scorer available. I was going to pick Monta and worry about a big nest round, but I took the best available 4/5 and ran with it. Sorry I didn't pick Darko  ;)

Anyway props to the E. Gordon pick. COMPLETELY forgot about him.
  ;D

The Celtics select one of the last legit 20 ppg scorers, Eric Gordon.

Formal apologies to the New Orleans Buccaneers should be submitted in writing.

Thank you.

I'm sorry? Did I pick GeeMarquis Nephew?

Then why isn't he one of the more efficient players in the league? Just because you are an elite player doesn't mean you have a high basketball IQ.

You can win a fist full of rings by being one of the best players in the league and taking a ton of shots that are not good shots.

Wade and Lebron also are elite talented athletes. Don't confuse having a good basketball IQ with being an elite athlete.

Yeah but let's not overlook how good those two are defensively and on the glass - two of the main reasons they made it that far as well.  Kobe isn't going to give you what he once did defesnively (tho he's still good) and Nash isn't giving you much of anything defensively.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Not sure where Dons is, but I've got one guy I'm targeting with this pick, and if he's gone I'm open to move it. Not much time to check the board thanks to a busy day at work, but hit me with offers if you're interested in 2-20.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Completely completely agree. I am not saying Kobe isn't good, he is great. Someone earlier said that he had a high basketball IQ, that is what I am disputing, nothing else.

Unfortunately, his ego is also extremely large.

Nash can play off the ball... Do you watch Phoenix? Grant Hill runs the offense a lot so that nash can spot up and rest. If Kobe controls the ball as much as Hill then I see the "one ball" argument as irrelevant. Are you really gonna leave Nash to double Kobe? Let's see what the rest of his team looks like. Definitely the best backcourt though.
