If this draft were 80's music, LeBron would be Prince. If this draft were 90's Rap Music, he'd be Tupac. If it were 'cool toys you wish you had when you were a kid', he'd be Power Wheels.

But Michael's the greatest, no question about it. Unmatched and unapproachable two decades later.

Yeah ... Have to agree. Michael was one of the greatest and most prolific songwriters of all time, and they were both geniuses when it came to production and arrangement. The one thing that Prince had over Michael was guitar playing ... Prince is one of the most accomplished guitarists of his generation, (which is my generation), and very few people ever include him in that category. The guy has all the Hendrix stuff down, along with blues, jazz, and speed metal chops ... amazing axe player. Personally though, I like Michael's songwriting better overall ... he had an incredible feel for melody and rhythms not normally applied to pop music.

(i remember someone trying to convince everyone that Brandon Wrigt was the difference maker to his team as a 5th round pick... and he's on his way out-of-the league 3 years later after doing nada).

Did somebody really take Brandan Wright in the 5th round?  I remember taking him in the 7th, but that was like my 9th or 11th pick of the draft.

I would totally gamble on Wright if I were the Celtics on a minimum contract.

And yeah you were the mystery GM that I was referring to trying to sell everyone on your "steal" of Wrigth (yes you're right in the 7th it turns out) as the lynchpin in an underatedly-deep team (yes i made up a word). That on the heels of constant pimpin' of TJ Ford as the greatest thing since sliced bread too...

There was one pick last year - and you can PM me if you want to know who - that was about as mind boggling of a pick that I've ever seen in any kind of draft ever. And I picked Monta Ellis with the 19th pick 3 years ago.

EDIT: I was mistaken, it was from the pick 2 draft.

See this would be great fun for some stat geek.... to compile the picks we've made over the years to see who's consistently be ahead of a players value (i.e. my Gortat in the 15th round the year before his breakout) vs. been behind on value (i.e. overrating a player)

my guess is that we've all had at least one great underratd pick and one horribly overrated pick... but it'd be neat to quantify in some way. Any way we can pull john hollinger in on this?
