With their 9th and final pick, (9.1 - replacement), of the 2011 CB NBA All-Time Historical Draft, the Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers select 6'11", 230-pound Center and defensive powerhouse from Syracuse University, (and fellow alum to Carmelo Anthony) ...

This has been a lot of fun and I love the memories it brings back looking through all the players of the past. I'm looking forward to seeing what our judges have to say and I hope none of it is taken too seriously. Thanks to everyone for the fun so far.

Tommy Heinsohn will be leading my guys onto the floor to this every night.

Spreadsheets! Minutes! Stuff! Come on!

It's all I had in me for tonight.  More to come.

Picking Larry's year was harder than I thought.  My impulse w/o looking was `86, but he had some other killer seasons.  the key to 86 was how dominant he was in the playoffs.

I don't really know any of you too well, but I'm going to be helping out as a panelist for the draft, but I've been really busy over the past few weeks, so I haven't been following 100%. I am going to compile a list probably on Sunday, for myself of the stats in the next few days, so if any other panelist (or just anyone) wants one, I would be glad to PM it to them.

I think when looking for a year for Larry, or anyone else really..you want to ignore the gaudy numbers like PPG if you're only talking about a 2 or 3 point difference. You want to focus on stuff like FG%, 3pt%, Rebound Rate (if available).

Look for the most efficient years, because you're not gonna want one guy rocking out 30 points a game. Not with all the talent every single one of these teams have.

The Memphis Grizzlies are struggling with this pick as there are so many ways to go to fill out this roster.

I hope to have the final selection momentarily.

Detlef is not too tall to ride a roller coaster.

With their final selection the Memphis Grizzlies are going pure offense

SF - Kiki Vandeweghe

1983-84 in just 35.1 minutes a game Kiki bombed it from everywhere for 29.4 ppg, with a FG% of 55.8, which includes 36.7% from 3, and a nice solid 85.2% from the line for a TS% of 61.8% and eFG% of 56.2%, which makes Kiki one of the most efficient scorers ever.

Compared to Detlef Schrempf, Kiki Vandeweghe is a VERY small forward

1 inch shorter but just flat out better.  Much better scorer, much more efficient scorer, and both are terrible defensively.  I will give you that Detlef is a better rebounder, but given Detlef isn't elite in that regard, I'd much rather have the significantly better offensive player.
