I firmly believe the Memphis Grizzlies are the most complete team.  Superb mix of offense and defense in the starting unit and what every team needs on its bench, whether it is lock down defense, highly efficient scoring machines, elite level rebounding, and solid all around players capable of starting.  No team has the overall mix and versatility of the Memphis Grizzlies.

That may be the case, Moranis - but do you have any players on The NBA S.W.A.T. Team?

That is an elite bunch, there...even a cameo from my man Ralph and Scotty, too. ;D

Also - is it ok with everyone if I "Guess" his blocks and steals for that year? I guessed that he averaged around 3 blks and at least 1 steal.

I had a similar conundrum with Russell, I ended up leaving them out. It's not like having them or not having them will change people's opinions on him as a defensive player.
according to whatifsports

Kareem had 3 blocks and 1.4 steals per game in 70-71

Russell had 3.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game in 59-60

Thanks! I keep forgetting to reference that.

I have no idea how they come up with those numbers, but they always seem to be about what I would have thought.

How do you see yourself defending against the Shaq's of the league? The Hakeems, or Chamberlains?

In my personal, and unbiased opinion, you need to have at least one player in the S.W.A.T team to be considered.

And to lock up that vote, I'd like to announce the Indiana eRacerz have added Sportscaster, and SWAT team member Dan Rydell to their studio broadcast.

God that show was average. What's hilarious is if you go back and watch Sportsnight you see how many plotthreads/ character nuances Sorkin recycles.

One thing that is pretty shocking: http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/h2h_finder.cgi?request=1&p1=abdulka01&p2=malonmo01

I know that's gotta be wrong. How did Moses Malone and Kareem not play each other once between 1976 and 1986??

Yes you do, Alvin Robertson..I missed that. He was a very good defender.

Its definitely wrong.  The '83 Finals alone illustrates that.  My guess is that no one bothered doing the research for matchups before '86.

I actually just finished re-watching it on netflix about a month after going through Studio 60. There's certainly a lot of reused stuff, but I still loved Sports Night. I thought the two anchors had a great dynamic between them "on" and "off" camera.

85-86 seems to be the first year Basketball-Reference offers a game log.

I liked Studio 60, but I hate how everytime Aaron Sorkin does anything, people act like he's back like Jordan, wearing the 45.

Not to play games with you, but to aim at you, proll maim you.

And if Aaron Sorkin owes you he's blowin you to smitherins.
