Yeah, if you want to go ahead and comment on other teams as an owner, do it here until every team owner has had a chance to post their profile. 33-00-32 and mgent still have yet to post anything and Redz wanted to add some more to his profile but had a real busy weekend and Monday.

So lets give them a chance and in the mean time lets talk here.

Then once those profiles are up and the panelists start asking questions then feel free to answer in that thread as well as comment on other teams in that thread, such as how your team might compare to another, etc.

I'll be asking myself the questions I want to answer.

Also - for the year I chose Kareem (79-80), he got injured in the playoffs and Magic played in his spot.

Will this be held against me for that year? If so, should I chose another year?

I don't know how others feel about it..but I know that Grant Hill's last season with the Pistons was probably his best season as a player..yet he was injured his last season with the Pistons and was called out for being kind of a wimp for sitting out playoff games (turns out his ankle was broken or somethign).

Roy said basically he'd still be injured eventually in this game, so its probably best to choose a year the player finished the season+playoffs healthy.

I'm not a judge, but I'd absolutely hold it against you if I was.

I'd be interested to hear your justification for using that particular year.

I have no idea why you would choose LA Lakers Kareem over Milwaukee Bucks Kareem in the first place.

Who, StartOrien and Don - Good Points, I fixed it.

I am going with MIL Kareem (70-71). NBA Finals MVP, and All NBA 1st Team and 2nd Team Defense.

He takes a step back for me defensively, but is still a very good one at that stage, no doubt.

Plus, I'm sure that KG covers many of his mistakes, and with GP, Dumars and Coop coming off the bench, not many will even make it to the basket.

Also - is it ok with everyone if I "Guess" his blocks and steals for that year? I guessed that he averaged around 3 blks and at least 1 steal.

Him, Wilt and Russell would have even gaudier stats if those particular stats were kept back then.

I had a similar conundrum with Russell, I ended up leaving them out. It's not like having them or not having them will change people's opinions on him as a defensive player.

I firmly believe the Memphis Grizzlies are the most complete team.  Superb mix of offense and defense in the starting unit and what every team needs on its bench, whether it is lock down defense, highly efficient scoring machines, elite level rebounding, and solid all around players capable of starting.  No team has the overall mix and versatility of the Memphis Grizzlies.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I firmly believe that everyone else firmly believes the same thing about their team.  ;)

No offense, but I actually thought Memphis has a weak bench compared to other teams.  The only guy that I thought you got good value for at their draft position was Greer.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
