Weiland sounds like he might be fighting tears in the post-game interview (or maybe his voice is just wavery normally).

I don't understand why they're putting this kid out there starting big games in September.  He's not ready.  They should have played him from the bullpen (like Tampa did with Price a few years ago) and started Aceves.  Instead, they're playing Aceves 3-4 innings after the starting pitcher gets the team into a big hole, but it's a waste because it's already too late.
My husband has been on a rant...over the Red Sox having the worst Manager in baseball!  Not new here...he has tunnel vision and has been on the same rant for a few years now.

Good thing the Orioles have terrible pitching, too.

Seems like the Orioles spent their wad, so to speak, in the first game of this double header.  Thankfully, the Orioles don't have any more pitchers who can actually get guys out.

Matt Albers warming up in the pen.  Calling it now -- Albers will give up a HR that will at least tie the game if not give up the Sox lead.

You can see the big hit off Matt Albers coming from a mile away.

At this point, I don't understand why Aceves isn't starting.  I guess he's the only competent long relief man they have, but Lackey is a lost cause at this point.  If they reach the ALDS, I'd be much more confident with Aceves going in Game 3.

The only rationale I can think of is having Aceves in the pen ready to go early if Lackey gets into trouble.

If I where in the yankees right now, I would blow this series with the Rays to stick it to the red sox. Their pennant banner is set anyway, what have they got to lose.

Shouldn't have put Pap out there in the 8th.

Yup, proof is in the pudding, but Paps should have done better and not thrown a fastball every single [dang] time!
