Sox ended up getting Erik Bedard, who is better than Rich Harden anyways. Gave up Stephen Fife, Tim Federowicz, and Chih-Hsien Chiang. Chang is the only one that i think will end up being a starter in the majors.
With Bedard, it all comes down to health. He has proven he can succeed in the AL east, granted it was 2007 but he was pretty dominant. So far this year in 16 starts he is only 4-7, though not his fault as he has a 3.45 ERA, almost a K an inning, and batters have hit .226 against him. And it's not because of pitching in Safeco, his home ERA is 4.53, compared to 2.16 on the road. So yeah, its a longshot but hopefully he can stay healthy down the stretch.
