With the 10th pick of 6th round, the Portland Trailblazers select: The rights to Ricky Rubio

I feel the "Rubio looks like the real deal!" thread forced me to take him a little earlier than I wanted.

haha, i was infuriated when that thread started

That will be the best pick of the round. Never thought of Rubio. Nicely done.

What's that sound I hear?  It's either KC weeping about the Matthews pick, or the sound of victory after Jsaad took over the "team of the future" lead.

Still a long way to go but I like my team so far... Scott Brooks would have been huge, I'm bummed about that.

Brilliant pick, in my mind.

Some clarification, for all of the newbies:

1) Players in Europe can be drafted, but you own their "rights".  If they play in Europe this season, they can't play on your team;

2) If a current NBA player signs a deal overseas by the time the draft is over, that player is lost to you for the coming season.  You still own his "rights", but since he's not playing in the NBA, he's not playing on your team.

I love me some Shaq, that's for sure.  If I'd kept the Kings, he may very well have been my pick at 5.26.

Sheesh, you guys are killing me this round. That's 3 guys I thought for certain I could land this morning off the board.

Yeah if i didn't have Arenas I might have taken Shaq at 6.2 but our team didn't need any Shaq-Arenas-gf stealin' drama...
