With pick 6.3

The OKC Thunder Grizzlies select Thabo Sefolosha

We are excited to add such a dominant defensive wing player this late in the draft. His teammates think he is the best defensive wing in the NBA and at the young age of 25 was already 2nd team all defense in the NBA last year. His versatility defensively is exactly what this team needed. We look forward to filling out this bench now!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AGAIN

To start the sixth round, the Chicago Bulls select one of the best shooters left, and close personal friend sycophant of LeBron James,

Mike Miller

It's like the real life Miami Heat, except with Amare in place of Bosh and a 7th rounder in place of Wade. ;)
Which is still good enough to win in either our fake NBA or real one.

Miami is a scary team....

Time will tell on the Lebron + Amare foundation.  It's a nice start, but there are serious questions about their depth that IP needs to address.

For perspective, a team last year of CP3 + Pau Gasol + Kevin Martin + Al Horford lost fairly early (in the second round, I think).  That's because his rotation was basically made up of flotsam and jetsam.

Lesson:  superstar talent alone doesn't win; depth matters.

With 6.4 the Phoenix Gorillaz, would like to announce first that I hate everyone, and second, that we select Travis Outlaw

I like the Sefolosha pick here; I'm not as certain about Terrence Williams or Outlaw.  In the sixth round, though, I can't blame anybody for gambling on talent.

If I were actually picking my bench right now instead of filling out my rotation, he probably would've been my pick. Excellent choice.

Thanks! Looking at your roster I was really nervous you were going to pick him. I see why you went with Miller. You really need the shooting around those guys.

TP for not stealing my guy!

You're nuts, forums manager formerly known as Roy Hobbs.

(I've been saving that one)

LeBron James took a team of actual flotsom and jetsam to a regular season champs crown. By adding Amare alone my squad is already better than that one.

When we get to the playoffs we can have this "depth" discussion, but right now if past successes on "The Hated One"'s part are any indication, LeBron James+Amare=regular season champs.

I knew Miller was a lock at 6.1, and was trying to grab one of those unused 5th rounders to take him.

I also like Sef a lot, although I think he is better suited as a SG than a SF.

Williams could have a breakout year this year.

I figured with 4 sixth rounders i could gamble on one pick... i think some of the other guys i'm looking at may slide (given how othr rounds have gone).

We'll see, we'll see.  The Cavs were a very good defensive unit.  You've got Amare and Mike Miller as two of your starters.  You've got work to do, my friend.

Had to gamble on the talnet here. I'll probably have Outlaw come off the bench, but there's a bunch of 'more effective' players out there that I'm sure I can grab later in this round or even later.

Plus, I know Outlaw is a C-Blog favorite. And I'm expecting the 2k10 +10 overall after a year.

I'm tired of everyone saying that the Cavs had Lebron and a bunch of bums on their team. No one was saying this when they lead the league in wins during the regular season by having the best defense in the league.
Had Cleveland got by Boston I think they would have won the title. Saying that the cavs, were just Lebron devalues his teammates and by extension the talent of the Celtics team in beating them.
