  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
The thing about noah too is that he's young enough so that he could theoretically develop a little more of an offensive game. See: Kendrick Perkins, 9/2009-1/2010.

I don't know what happened as the season went on, but he looked good early.

Never liked Monta as a player. Some players are just destined to put up big numbers on bad teams. Monta Ellis seems like one of those guys.

I like the pick, although I wonder how Noah's plantar fasciitis will be this season.

I love both the last picks. Monta Ellis can flat out score, while he isn't that great of a passer or defender he averaged 25 ppg. I feel that you're not going to get a lot of love for that pick as evidenced by the anti Monta sentiment when it was rumored we were trading for him.

Noah is a great defensive player and rebounder. Those were the top two guys on my board.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Since PGs are for some reason going so early, I'm taking Chauncey Billups.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

That's kind of my take, too.  You can't say anything about his talent, but he's a guy who doesn't seem to make his teams better.  Sort of like a Stephon Marbury.

Of course, under Don Nelson, maybe he's just not in a position to succeed.  It's hard for me to make a definitive judgment without seeing how he'd do for a real organization.

We have two separate trades to announce:

Trade 1:
Minnesota (Evantime34)send 2.20, 5.20 and 12.11
to
Charlotte (Kcatthestripe) for 3.8, 3.29 and cash considerations (5 tps)

Trade 2:
Washington (Nickagneta) sends: 3.5, 3.22, 5.11, 7.11, 13.5
for
Portland (Jsaad): 2.21, 4.10, 5.22, 7.21, 12.10

Two very interested trades to compare to each other.

should these picks be 3.22 and 5.21,7.21 respectively? (i very well may have missed a diff. trade that resulted in them... just tyring to help).
Boxers send 3.5 3.22, 5.11, 7.11, 13.5

Blazers send 2.21, 4.10, 5.21, 7.21, 12.10

That is our correct trade

I thought monta this late was a steal? nobody else?

He's a terror to guard. Anytime you can add a 25 ppg scorer in the middle of the second round it's worth writing home about.

That said I had...

Since PGs are for some reason going so early, I'm taking Chauncey Billups.

... Billups rated as the BPA for awhile now. Great, great value. Not sure how to explain his slide, except that he's just taken for granted at this point.

Agree somewhat with what IP's saying.  I like him, but don't love him.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.

Great pickup. Can't go wrong with Chauncey at the helm.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Yup, when somebody (Roy?) mentioned that there was nobody available who could be the 2nd best player on a championship team worth trading up for, Chauncey is the 1 guy that came to my mind as a counterexample.  There's arguably still one available.

Billups in the mid 2nd is among the very best value in the draft so far IMO.

I like a Bosh/Ellis combo more than most guys Ellis has been paired with in past CBDs.
