I thought monta this late was a steal? nobody else?

He's a terror to guard. Anytime you can add a 25 ppg scorer in the middle of the second round it's worth writing home about.

That said I had...

Since PGs are for some reason going so early, I'm taking Chauncey Billups.

... Billups rated as the BPA for awhile now. Great, great value. Not sure how to explain his slide, except that he's just taken for granted at this point.

Yup, when somebody (Roy?) mentioned that there was nobody available who could be the 2nd best player on a championship team worth trading up for, Chauncey is the 1 guy that came to my mind as a counterexample.  There's arguably still one available.

I don't think I made that quote.  I was surprised to see some of the trades that went through to move up into the late second, though.  Chauncey is good, but he (for instance) wouldn't be worth two players drafted in the 3rd to me.

Thats a very nice front court combination.  Dirk with a tough center who can actually score.

This is a reach in my opinion. Kaman has a nice all-around game, but is also easily the worst defensive center drafted thus far. Despite being both a respectable rebounder and shot blocker.

Haha, that was me.  Next to KG, no one was coming close to Paul Pierce as a 2nd man this late.  That said, I'm happy enough with the KG/Billups pair even though I'm pretty sure the PG i wanted is gonna drop to the 3rd round.
Philly:

David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels

I dunno, as a guy with NBA League Pass who is a big clipper fan  I think he is a solid defender and very good all around player stuck on a bad team for most of his career.  He is Durable, 28 years old 7 feet and a 20-10 guy.  I love picking him up at this point

Perhaps, but he's still better than half the centers already taken.  Excellent pick.
