I gotta tell ya, this Matt Janning kid is pretty impressive too.  He's quick.  And has good hops.  Deep range.

This kid might be able to give us something this year too.  He's actually dominating this game in a lot of ways.  He seems to be everywhere.

I agree. I actually think he looks better at PG than Lafayette -- he seems to have a knack for delivering the ball to cutters at exactly the right time, and was able to get lots of people wide-open looks.

He still needs to take the ball across half-court faster, and fell in love with his own shot in the last quarter.

Gody another good game. This kid makes the team and Gaffney/Lafayette don't

Erden stats looks alot better than the past few games. Maybe he needed to get used to the NA style of play

Leon Powe and Gody have very little in common except they work hard on the court. Gody maybe not as good rebounder as powe but is all around better, especially in the offensive end

if he works hard enough he can definitely improve on his rebounding...he has the body to, not like BBD, but yeh

I think they both have the same motor and toughness but completely opposite styles of play in my opinion. I mean Gody isn't really a low post player and really needs to work on his post moves. He shoots much better and isn't quite as good a rebounder as Powe. I do like the comparison for heart and toughness though. They remind me of each other a lot in that way.

Overall he can shoot and rebound and just plays very smart basketball. The kid plays tough and doesn't force anything. Makes for a perfect role player in the NBA one day.

yes that is true, but we don't know how he is going to improve...

If i remember correctly, Leon Powe wasnt great as a post-up player and FT shooter until the arrival of KG and Ray Allen...

I'm not saying Powe was bad, I'm saying, you can see his improvement between pre-big 3, and post-big 3, the effect of the big 3 really did help the young players to develop into better players

After watching the last two games(still have to watch the first), other than Harangody, there isn't one player that is playing for the Celtics that looks like they belong anywhere near an NBA court next year.

I don't see what anyone here likes about Parakouski, Jannings, Carroll, LaFayette or anyone else the Celtics are throwing out there. Yeah, Gaffney seems to be playing okay defense but the best player he has played is Evan Turner, a kid who hasn't play one second of NBA ball yet. I might invite Gaffney to camp but I would sincerely doubt he makes the team.

I completely agree and I think by the end of his career he'll be pretty good in the post. He'll get a lot of hustle baskets down there for now. I was just saying as of right now he needs some work down low.

I'm sure KG and Clifford Ray will help him out in many ways.

Janning can shoot the ball, has some court vision, and showed very good movement on defense, staying in front of his man and adjusting to help on the strong side if necessary. I can easily see him helping a good team in a J.J. Reddick role.

Seriously don't see it. If you aren't playing outstanding in these games, I have a hard time believing you are going to make a team and Janning is far from playing outstanding. My guess is he isn't even in the league next year.
