After watching the last two games(still have to watch the first), other than Harangody, there isn't one player that is playing for the Celtics that looks like they belong anywhere near an NBA court next year.

I don't see what anyone here likes about Parakouski, Jannings, Carroll, LaFayette or anyone else the Celtics are throwing out there. Yeah, Gaffney seems to be playing okay defense but the best player he has played is Evan Turner, a kid who hasn't play one second of NBA ball yet. I might invite Gaffney to camp but I would sincerely doubt he makes the team.

Yup. It's ugly, and there's nothing that can help us on this roster.

Luke looking good again today.  I think this one might be a keeper and see some limited run.

I'd still invite Jaycee Carroll to camp for a closer look. Combo guard, through 3 SL games is at 13.3 pts, 3.7 rbs, 3.0 asts, and that's without his outside shot falling yet while being a crazy good 3 pt. shooter in college. Today so far he's at 17/4/2. Not bad.

Same could be said for Janning. He's been shooting really well and has a bit more size; could be worth a second look. Never know who the next Anthony Morrow will be.

Carroll is absolutely awful. He gets a bunch of points because as a guard he can have the ball in his hands most of the time against pitiful defenses, but that's fool's gold. But he has no NBA frame, no ballhandling skills, no passing skills, and an erratic jump shot. And he's apparently 27. So thanks, but no thanks.

I'd much rather have Janning, who showed great composure manning the point, and distributed the ball pretty well. Unfortunately, he's off for the Vegas Summer League, so we've likely seen the last of him.

Exactly.

Did everyone who is pushing any guard the Celtics had on that Summer League team see the 4th quarter of today's game? With pressure from Indiana's scrubs in a full court trapping defense, the Celtics guards(Thompson, Green, Carroll, LaFayette) just continually turned the ball over and were absolutely lost out there losing a huge second half lead and the game.

The only player on this Summer League team that deserves to be in camp is Haragody though I guess Erden will be there as well though I wouldn't hold out much hope of him making the team, he looked awful.

Harangody has been nothing short of solid. He has been extremely consistant thus far. He is another Gomes but with more edge in his play

I think the 2nd unit can include both Harangody and BBD with all 5 starters sitting

Like this kids game alot

I couldn't watch the game so please tell me how gody played...though I will assume he hustled his butt off as usual. :)

What were his numbers and how was his defense?

Thanks.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

The guy obviousLy has some skill. Unforunately, I don't think he'll be able to guard anyone in the NBA.

Larry Bird wasn't the best defender but he had Parrish to save him. Harangody has BBD to save him don't worry =]

Harangody won't be a liability on defense but he won't be oustanding. At least he will get you occasional blocks and actually grab some rebounds unlike scal

Please refrain from any posts which allude in any way, shape or form to comparisons made between Bird and Harangody... :)

Could you imagine hearing 20 years ago, "Well, if Pete Myers could dribble or shoot he'd have shades of Michael Jordan to his game."

16 points and 7 board today. I didn't pay much attention to what the C's did on defense, honestly but Harangody has really surprised and impressed me.

The dude can just shoot the ball so well and is extremely intelligent, never takes a bad shot. He's going to make the roster for sure.
