The C's should challenge Wade for a suspension after his elbow went flying into Ray's nose.

Good point, if they suspend KG, Haslem and O'Neal need to be suspended too. QRich for instigating and however left the bench.

it's hard not to leave the bench on that one though as it happened almost on the bench... KG instigated it, he should man up and take the penalty

I think he already has: he's said he needs to maintain his composure better than that.

Let me just add (and forgive if it's been mentioned already) that, isn't it basketball etiquette that when a player on the opposing team is in the floor with an (apparent) injury, that your team clears out and gives space (for trainers and medical people, etc.)?  I don't see how this happening near the Miami bench makes that any less the unwritten rule-when a player is down, stay away, period.

I don't get why Miami players were even around (that were in the game, like Q and JO), or why the bench players and coaches for Miami didn't clear out toward the corner to give space.  Eddie Lacerte had to weave through Miami players to get to Paul.

If there is any lesson from this, it is how quickly the officials can lose control of a playoff game, and, if suspensions flow, how the officials' failure in those situations can potentially decide championships.

Yeah, that was totally classless by Q-Rich.  The guy is a punk.  The "melee" can absolutely be attributed to the refs not exercising control on the situation.

Q-Rich has ALWAYS been a punk.  And, I mean "punk" in the classic, prison-shower sense of the word.

KG'll be suspended because Stern is deathly afraid of fighting.  Q-Rich won't, which is the best possible news for the C's because nine times out of ten he's the worst player on the court.  Intersting will be Haslem/O'neil, whichever of the Heat players that shoved BBD.  THAT had the potential of escalating matters to a whole 'nother level, which Stern isn't going to look too kindly upon.

I give the C's bench credit for not coming on the court as well

Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing about QRich being suspended.  Every dozen games or so, he plays great.  Otherwise, he's a mediocre to poor player.  Losing him doesn't really hurt the Heat all that much, if at all.

Losing Haslem or O'Neal, on the other hand, would at least impact them.

as Roy pointed out:

"I was just concerned about Paul. You make your bed, you have to lay in it," Garnett said about a possible suspension. "I am smarter than that. I have to keep my composure in a situation like that."

I think he deserves to be suspended for the elbow.

As classless as Q Rich is, Q Rich was correct. Pierce does act like he has a career ending injury all the time then he returns to the game. That's really funny that he mentioned that during the game.

Pierce is the boy who cried wolf of injuries.

How in any way imaginable did KG instigate this incident--Q Rich is going to push past  KG to stand over our injured player--any teammate that let's that happen should be benched!

Uh, no. Nothing is happening until Richardson begins running his mouth. Richardson is the CLEAR instigator, and if any suspensions are handed down it is imperative that he be among them.

i have watched the video and KG does throw elbows. he got too angry.

however, if he is suspended i dont think he should be alone. check out oneal at the 22 second mark of this video. there is no mistake that he pushed big baby to the ground.

i havent had time to read all 8 pages of this thread, so perhaps the board has already discussed oneal's actions. but what oneal did seemed worse that anything else done in there.

here is the video i watched on youtube.....

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Do you have any evidence of Pierce ever being close to crying wolf apart from the 2008 NBA Finals?

PP is tough. I don't think he faked getting stabbed in the chest and coming right back without missing a game. He's been injured a bunch and played through it. I don't think he's faked anything.

At this point, I think KG will be suspended because of all the media hoopla over this. Which is why I think Boston fans should email every media person asking about the Haslem elbow.

Here's a cap of that elbow:

Pretty clear to me. No one is talking about it because it is not KG.

People should email this pic to the media.
