If they review this properly, they'll see several Heat players doing stuff you're not allowed to do. If the league only suspends KG for this, it will be a travesty of enormous proportions. But we wouldn't really be surprised, would we now?

Not having read any of the posts here, I'm just putting in my two cents based on what I saw.
Why on earth would you suspend anyone for that "incident"? Just a bunch of guys standing around pushing each other and trash talking. NOTHING HAPPENED!!!
Shouldn't have even been technicals IMO, except maybe one each for KG and Richardson.
If KG gets suspended, it's a joke, but not very funny.

That elbow warrants a suspension...it is not even debatable IMO. If the roles were reversed you would want Q-rich suspended too...

Either you go after all those involved or you don't go there at all. Per the rules, yes, MAYBE KG should get a one-game ban. But what about Haslem? He almost hit BBD with his arm/elbow. Fair should be fair. And what was QR doing over there when Paul was down? Even if Pierce was faking, (I'm not saying he was; he looked banged up to me) it was a taunting move on QRich's part and if the NBA fails too see that, Stern seriously need to reconsider if there is any room for him in the league today. His men could and should have prevented this from escalating. For real.

Quote
The only thing resembling one was the fracas right next to the Miami bench that happened when Pierce fell out of bounds, Garnett came over to check on him and Richardson walked over and said something to Garnett that infuriated him.

"He started to talk to me, so I talked back," Richardson said. "I don't have any business talking to him (Pierce), he was on the ground crying. I don't know what was going on, two actresses over there, that's what they are."

"I don't like them, and they know it," Richardson added. "Sometimes he (Pierce) falls like he's about to be out for the season, and then he gets right up. That's all I said."

Garnett, who appeared to throw an elbow, was ejected for a double-technical, and Richardson, Davis and Udonis Haslem all drew technicals.

QRich strikes again  ::)

Does Richardson really expect to fool anybody when he claims he was just going to "inbound the ball" when the ref is clearly 2 meters away and Q is just going at Pierce on the bench? What a bad liar...

I hope the Garden boos him like crazy for the next home games and the C's make him pay for his words.

If KG is suspended, Haslem should also be suspended. That elbow to Baby's face is pretty much the same with what KG did. I don't know about Q-Rich,but it would really be nice if he gets booed bigtime by the home crowd in game number 2.

Pretty sure the Heat had players leave the bench and go out onto the court during the fracas. That's an automatic suspension as well. And I thought the first swing was at KG, not Davis.

He will be. It is an automatic suspension.

And for what he did he should be suspended. Can`t lose control like that...

No, it's not.  A lot of people get confused, because Howard got suspended last year.

Elbow contact above the shoulder is an automatic *ejection*.  If the player isn't ejected -- like Howard wasn't -- it becomes a suspension.

Now, KG could still get suspended, but it would be discretionary, rather than mandated.

Nice angle of Jermaine O'Neal pushing BBD to the ground there.  If there are suspensions handed out, he should have one coming, too, especially with his history as a participant in the mele in Detroit.

yeah..if they throw out KG...they gotta sit haslem, Q or O neal. those guys were right there doing the same. i expect KG sits but it think this plus richardson's comments about PP and KG being girls will totally backfire on the heat. without KG..i think boston drops the hammer in game 2.

Watched this altercation over & over again on DVR and I still don't know what's gonna happen.

One thing I can tell you is that I wouldn't be shocked at either direction they go with KG.  You really never know what to expect with the league office and Stu Jackson, in particular.

Too bad its not 1987, then we all know for certain that KG would be suiting up for Game 2.   :P

richardson started it all by what he said. but KG will prolly sit. still think boston wins game 2. if this and richardson calling them girls can't fire them up...then nothing will
