My argument was that generally if your PG is the best player on your team than you don't have as good a chance at winning the championship
Sorry to say this but although Tony Parker won that finals MVP he WAS NOT the best player on that Spurs team. He might have been even third best with Tim Duncan being FAR AND AWAY the best player on that team.
I think Rondo is the second best PG in the league now. What are you arguing?
I agree with the Parker comment, he was not the best player on that championship team (2006-07).
Tim Duncan was indeed their biggest producer of wins, followed by Manu Ginobli.
Now, as far as Rondo's ranking is concerned. He's not the second best point guard.
I'd have to call Chris Paul's season a wash (considering he's been sidelined by too many injuries). With that being said, Jason Kidd's clearly been the best, with Steve Nash riding his coattails. Rondo comes in third.
Clearly, if Paul hadn't missed any time, Rondo would very likely be ranked fourth.
