I'd rather have Hinrich than Nate, although they each bring different skills to the table.  It sounds like Chicago may be motivated to move him just for expiring contracts, and there's a chance that we could have worked something out with Eddie / Scal / Giddens.

Of course, it's harder to pull off a 3-for-1 type of deal, and Hinrich has a bad contract.  Still, all things being equal, I'd prefer Hinrich.

Not unless Deng is attatched to his hip.

This I agree with

Adding Hinrich without dumping Ray adds loads to this team

Adding Nate adds very little

Yeah, I'd prefer Hinrich over Nate but I like bringing in Nate.

I think the Celtics don't want to take on Hinrich's contract, even for our expiring "dumps".

Since the Nate deal is not done yet, there is still a chance for Danny to call the Bulls for Hinrich but it's unlikely.

I think I would prefer Hinrich too but his contract is really bad and he wouldn't provide us the energy that Nate would bring.

I'd prefer Hinrich too, but I think any Hinrich deal involves Ray, and I also think you can get both Hinrich and Nate if you want to.  Nate is really a SG in a (tiny) PG body, and Hinrich is a big, true PG.  So coming off the bench, they could certainly play together.

The problem is, I just don't think they are interested in Hinrich's contract.

It really seems like the Bulls have been dragging their feet here.

You think that they would be a little more urgency on their part if they truly want to make a run at a max FA in the offseason.

That being said, they'll probably have something done by 3pm but I'll be interested to see how its ends up.

I'd prefer Hinrich as well, but I won't blame ownership for wanting to avoid his contract.

Yeah and I don't want to give up Ray for Hinrich, maybe if it involes Deng too but that is a big maybe.

We still have TA and Williams to use.

Yeah, but I don't think it makes a ton of sense to bring in two PGs, especially if we're moving Tony.  I think by adding Nate, you basically preclude trading for Hinrich.

Don't be surprised at all if Danny is still trying to work a deal with Nate attached that doesn't involve him in green.  Just a thought.

I'd trade Ray for Deng/Hinrich in a heartbeat.

Yeah I'm starting to lean that way too but I wish the Bulls still had Ben Gordon, because I would have loved to do a Ray for Hinrich and Gordon swap.
