My theory is that this has been agreed upon in principle as House for Nate, pretty much straight up, but it can't be completed until they can tack it on as a side deal with a larger deal (T-Mac, or a Ray deal), to get around the BYC problem.  So right now, they are just working on other things with other teams, and will just latch this trade on the side.

Good point.  It's very easy to work this into a pre-existing trade to make it into a three-way, that helps get around the BYC issue.

We'll need more than this and this all but rules out the addition of Hinrich for just expiring contracts

Ray for Hinrich not so great but Hinrich added to this team would have been world's better than this move

I can sense you are very upset by this but, just for clarification do you think DA made this trade thinking it would be the move that got Boston to the finals?

No I don't and that's just it

This trade adds extremely little to the overall efficiency of this team

Eddie is not a good defender but he us knowledgeable of our defensive rotations and positioning and for that reason will be better than a defensively woeful Robinson at the defensive end of the floor

What we lose there we gain in offense and so we come out about the same all around

I don't see this as anything but a sideways move with a chance for it to be a backwards move if Nate causes problems

If this is it, I would rather just have stayed pat
