Marquis Daniels should have played the last six minutes, not Pierce.
Agreed

Co-signed.

Tell that to Doc. Big3 are close to being done.
Big what? they have become a big 0... it's absolutely ridiculous how KG and PP got to the all-star game, they are playing just like AI

And he did finish...

I asked earlier in this thread....Rock Bottom yet?

Cement shoes.

Doc said the ball is "sticking".  I wonder if he meant when Perk takes 10 minutes to wind up, or when Rondo pounds the air out of it?  If this is the future, we're in more trouble than we know.

I hear people saying stupid stuff all the time...

its not so stupid anymore.

These guys look like they want to play when they're out there:

Daniels
Davis
Tony Allen
Rondo
Perk

so start 'em.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

KG barely played and when he did he barely got the ball. We like feeding Perk more than him. I didn't think his defense was terrible, but I did notice he wasn't getting lift on his rebounding.

Pierce looked great in the first half, got extended rest to end the second quarter and didn't look right after that. He had 7 turnovers and then was given the ball with 2 minutes left. This play has to work 5% of the time and I'm sick of saying that.

TA had a lot of energy and scored a decent amount, but he should when you consider that they leave him unguarded for the most part. His D killed us. Falls for the upfake too much.

Perk is frustrating me to no end lately. I feel like any miss or turnover he has leads to a bucket at the other end. He misses very easy shots and postups with single coverage. His defense is still the best on our team, however, and I don't ignore that.

House gives up points no matter who he is covering so he has to have a good shooting game or he will easily get outproduced. He was the main reason why they got out ahead of us. Collison did nothing after House was yanked. I'm done with House and I'll be fine if we only bring him in when we need an offensive spark. I'm starting to think he is a 10th guy on a championship bench and Doc is treating him as a 7th man.

Daniels is my favorite player on the team and he barely makes any mistakes. He must be baffled about being yanked.

Rondo had a poor game, but when you are an all star you deserve the minutes to work your way out of it and shouldn't only get 24 minutes. I didn't think Collison was killing him, but Doc apparently did.

and those are most of the young guys....and i think we are all starting to see that there is a great divide on this celtic team.

two related observations:

- It starts and it ends with Doc. What is the reason we are letting leads slip by? Is it that they are tired? That's on Doc. Is it that they are having chemistry problems? That's on Doc. Mental lapses? Doc.

- If we are indeed done and we should blow it up, name one rebuilding process started midway through a season that has worked. Name one midseason star trade that involved fair value? If this team needs to be blown up, it should be blown up at the offseason, not now.

KG yes, but lets not rewrite history because we're mad.

Up until the knee and recent foot injury, paul was playing pretty lights out.

PP looked the same way vs the lakers...vs orlando...great in the first half...old and slow in the second half. eddie house stinks. EVERY aspect of his game stinks. he couldnt defend me

If we can get Kevin Martin, that would be a great move.

This team isn't going to be a contender until they can move KGs contract in 2012. But in the meantime, shouldn't we at least see what we have in Walker, say? And ANYBODY who expires this year or next year has got to get some value either in picks or good players that are signed through 2012. Obviously don't overpay for anyone (why I don't like these Heinrich/Nocioni rumors. I don't want Heinrich's contract...), but if you can get a great player like Kevin Martin, then you jump at the opportunity.

Yea, seems like Pierce needed the month rest just as much as KG did.

i will bet my crappy salary that he had more than just cleaning out the knee. and he isn't close to being right. go back and watch him before the knee....he was in the best shape i have seen him..he was quick and all over the place. since the knee he has been slow...sitting back and chucking long 3s and jumpers.

boy....if the time has come for the celtics to rebuild again, cb is not going to be a pleasant place for a while.

rebuilding this team will take a long time i think. but, ainge did it once, maybe he will do it again.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

The rebuilding/blow it up thing doesn't make a lot of sense to me. If it is time to "blow it up", then that would mean that KG/Pierce were washed up, and if they are washed up, they can't be unloaded. So what do we do?
