I would like to have a well thought out, rational discussion on what is causing the problems, but the guys that consistently show up and badmouth the team are making it impossible and are saying the same lines over and over.

Ray Allen is the last problem on that team, trade Sheed, Rondo, KG, Pierce, no matter who, but Allen is in best shape of all the players and bring everything every night

Doc has lost this group. He needs to fall on his sword and take one for the team.  Please resign Doc.

This is almost all on the players. They don't care.

I've never seen a team THAT frustrating in my life.

This team cannot be blown up fast enough. They are headed for an 0-5 road trip. KG and Pierce ZERO points in the second half.

PP had 2.

this team will never be healthy enough this season for the Cs to make a run and get things back. denver and LA will be blood baths for this team. i am saying it now...when they return from the this western trip, they will be out of first in the atlantic or trailing toronto

Sigh. And the 2nd half collapse trend continues. One can only hope we do a little better after the break. We need big adjustments from the coaches, players and trainers to get anywhere near back on track.

Marquis Daniels should have played the last six minutes, not Pierce. The big three is no more. There is nothing left to look at here folks, pass on by. It's just another trainwreck.

Daniels should be starting

It's easy -- the big three is old and done as stars in this league. The Celts don't rebound. And they just are not good enough. Don't know what else is required to be said.

Well we lost and I said all through this thread the reason for this team's downfall. Rondo!!!  I hope after th All-Star weekend the C's can get it together or make a minor trade or signing with the open roster spot.

No, not at all. Rondo had a bad game, but he's been the most consistently good player on the team this year.

Right now, we need to aim to be good in 2012. Build around Rondo, not away from him. If we can get Kevin Martin for Ray Allen and find something to do with Pierce, then we can look to trade KG's expiring contract going into 2012 for another big piece. We'll have our MLE back, Rondo, Kevin Martin on the last year of his contract (I think?) and whatever else we can put together in the next year and a half.

after the past few weeks it seems clear that the celtics will not win a championship this year with this team. sigh.

when ainge was asked about his statement long ago on trading any of bird, mchale, or parish and comparing it to the current big three, he said that he was not looking to trade now since he believed this team still had a shot at a championship.

a championship was something the celtics did not have a chance at when bird et al were in decline.

i wonder if ainge is changing his mind about a possible championship now?

unless ainge does something very soon, or, the celtics suddenly begin to play great basketball.... i dont see championship #18 walking through that door anytime soon.

this is the first time this season i have thought this way. sigh.  :'(
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
