I hope Danny is watching this closely.....it IS time to trade Ray Allen's EXPIRING OLD LEGS and contract.

Yea, screw Ray Allen and his 58% TS!!!

And how can injuries not be an excuse? We are missing our best player and true anchor of our defense. Get a clue.

finally a voice of reason.. so would u rather hace KG limping out there trying to win a game in jan. or would u rather have him healthy in April?

6 losses at home before the all star break....KG missing weeks....boston GETTING abused by younger, more athletic teams...not really a lot to be positive about since the christmas game

and it only gets tougher for an old, oft injured team..dallas, portland, orlando, atlanta and LA all on the horizon....but yet everyone in the Cs organization thinks this is a championship team as it stands....danny better realize that he needs to make plans to have some legit back ups for guys that seem to never be healthy

Orlando you are spot on --- this is the easier part of the schedule and the Celtics are playing like this.  The hard part is on the horizon and right now the Celtics can't even beat the worst road teams in the NBA consistently anymore.  6 home losses already is mind boggling.  Losses to the Clippers, Warriors, 76ers and now Bulls is more than a fluke.

Again the only good thing is this team shouldn't want the number 1 seed since they have no home court edge any longer.

  • GOT IT!!!
The C's are in a funk right now. Some of it can be attributed to injuries but certainly not all of it.

Ray Allen's only value right now, is his contract.....I really hope Danny trades him.
Ray Allen is shooting around his career averages this season percentage wise. He also has the best offensive rating on the team as far as plus/minus goes. Trading him would destroy our spacing and rotation unless we get a similar screen shooter back.

Regarding effort, Pierce did not play defense at all tonight.

He was the key and he still has not been defended and the game is over.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Weird but true:

Scal's fourth foul was a real turning point in the game.  Baby was really bad defensively.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

Probably the worst effort of the season. This is the worst game I have seen Paul Pierce play in a long time and Ray was not too far behind. Very troubling effort from this team tonight.

i am tired of hearing about KG this and KG that...boston has to figure out how to play with the elite teams without him...they have a brutal stretch and it looks like he wont be there for most or all of it.....

I think the phoenix game was much worse.

They lost to a team, at home, that has 3 road wins. A team that tried to keep the Celtics in the game all night. My big concern is not the injuries, but the fact that this team has no focus right now and is playing realy stupid basketball.
