Ray Allen's only value right now, is his contract.....I really hope Danny trades him.
Just curiuos but trade him for what? For who? And I assume you aren't worried about the finances. In that case, I would rather trade our scrap of expiring contracts for nocioni or posey.

Saw the last 5 mins and made me so mad to see the effort this team is putting out. We really need a shake up i truly believe this now. Rondo is getting tired and House aint the answer to back him up. Rondo's last move to the rim he looked like a turtle and he got blocked. We need a change and soon. and like someone said if the front office thinks this team is Championship aspirations as it is right now, we are delusional, because with a healthy KG i don't think our bench looks good enough to win it. I am sick of getting pist off watching the Celtics i want something New and fresh AND YOUNG!!!

Injuries can't be an excuse it just doesn't fit --- when a team has 2 Hall of Famers and an all star caliber point guard on the floor that HAS to be enough to beat a 3-13 road team at HOME.  It's obviously not enough which shows that this team has far more serious issues than injuries.
3-13 is less relevant than how they've played the last 10 or so games. The Bulls have been playing much better basketball of late.

Overall a disappointing effort by the C's, they didn't get the lose balls or rebounds at all tonight.

Yeah it's just more the effort and repeated issues that are a major concern right now.  Poor rebounding, spotty offensive execution and countless turnovers have plagued this team for weeks now.  And it doesn't appear to be getting any better.  With the tough schedule coming up the Celtics will be in serious trouble if KG isn't back and ready to go.

I think this lineup is about a .500 team definitely.  When seeing the injuries that Houston and Portland have overcome in the tough Western Conference it is worrisome to see that they are better than .500 despite this.

If 2 Hall of Famers and an All Star caliber point guard isn't enough to win home games against average teams then it's an issue.

And sorry fanfir I did tell you tonight would be a big problem playing on back to back nights with this team and it definitely was...

i am tired of hearing about KG this and KG that...boston has to figure out how to play with the elite teams without him...they have a brutal stretch and it looks like he wont be there for most or all of it.....
We know how to play without KG, we're just not all that good without him. Rondo and Perks improved play have compensated for KGs decline somewhat, but without him we're not an elite team.

Probably the worst effort of the season. This is the worst game I have seen Paul Pierce play in a long time and Ray was not too far behind. Very troubling effort from this team tonight.

why is it very troubling.. all NBA teams have 5 to 7 games a year where they just play like garbarge.. This loss is not that big of a deal

Oh wow. The Bulls didn't even have a game last night. We really had the deck stacked against us.

Yea, celticinorlando. Everyone knows that KG is just an ordinary player. Lakers would win every game without Kobe. People need to realize that KG is our Kobe. He is the straw that stirs the drink on the court and in the team huddle.

6 losses at home before the all star break....KG missing weeks....boston GETTING abused by younger, more athletic teams...not really a lot to be positive about since the christmas game

and it only gets tougher for an old, oft injured team..dallas, portland, orlando, atlanta and LA all on the horizon....but yet everyone in the Cs organization thinks this is a championship team as it stands....danny better realize that he needs to make plans to have some legit back ups for guys that seem to never be healthy

Orlando you are spot on --- this is the easier part of the schedule and the Celtics are playing like this.  The hard part is on the horizon and right now the Celtics can't even beat the worst road teams in the NBA consistently anymore.  6 home losses already is mind boggling.  Losses to the Clippers, Warriors, 76ers and now Bulls is more than a fluke.

Again the only good thing is this team shouldn't want the number 1 seed since they have no home court edge any longer.

Sorry but how is 5 games in 7 nights in any way easy?! Come on now.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Shelden Williams, you really root for the kid, but he's been disappointing.  This stretch without KG/Sheed wouldn't be nearly as tough if he had any hands at all.  Makes you miss Leon Powe. Or Ed Pinckney!  Just solid big guys deep on the bench.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

I hope Danny is watching this closely.....it IS time to trade Ray Allen's EXPIRING OLD LEGS and contract.

Yea, screw Ray Allen and his 58% TS!!!

And how can injuries not be an excuse? We are missing our best player and true anchor of our defense. Get a clue.

finally a voice of reason.. so would u rather hace KG limping out there trying to win a game in jan. or would u rather have him healthy in April?

Do you think he's gonna be healthy in April?? cuz I doubt it...

I doubt this team is ever gonna be fully healthy again! we're old and when you get injured at this age, there's really no ending in that...
I'm telling u, tonight I realized that this team has no decent chances of winning another title... it's so sad!

Oh no! We're two games out of first! Let's panic! Trade everyone!

/sarcasm

Regarding losing during the "easy part" of the schedule:

have you seen Orlando's, Atlanta's and LA's records since Christmas as well? Should they panic and blow things up too?

Please don't play I told you so with a claim I never disputed. I never said it wouldn't be a tough game, I just don't think its an important one

Our rebounding issues aren't from effort, I think its because of the decline of our three starters and Rasheed Wallace due to age.

I am sick of these excuses we need to do something and quick our teams legs are getting old and we are A. Wearing out our team and B. Getting nowhere doing it. At least last year we still won games.
