Scoring threat shooting .40% from the field that can't even dominate the second tier league of the Turkish league?   I think some are allowing their fanship of Iverson to cloud their basketball judgement.   I am all for allowing for a tryout but I think Delonte can beat him these days.

The videos I posted are not "deceitful."  Why do you assume the intent of those videos was to make Iverson look good?  They were just the most recent videos I can find in three different settings, Charity game, NBA game, and Turkish League.  Make your judgement whether he is worth it or not.

Folks,

You're making A.I. look like Bob McAdoo, when he was a sub for the Lakers, 84 to 85.

It's simply not the case.

When McAdoo had lost his step, as a primer mid-70s scorer, he was still a tall guy who could hit his mid-range jumpers and thus, always forced the C's to react to him on the court.

I don't see A.I. having any effect on the opponent's defenses, when our starters are resting.

Not gonna matter anyway. There won't be a 2011-12 season.

Perhaps I used to strong a word.  Sorry Yogi.

But the NBA one was from 09-10, that is nearly two years ago which is a long time for someone in their mid to late 30's.  I think when you take them in context of what I posted he is shadow of his former self.

Dont hate me for this, but i kinda like Iverson in Green.
Iverson has ALWAYS been one of my fav players and i dont think that i would hurt this team if we brought him in. I mean cmon guys. Stop posting "I want Delonte instead of Allen" its not that we gon sign AI and let DWest go. He could be our Third string PG of the bench.
This could easily end up as a low risk high reward type of signing.
If he is a cancer (Which i dont think he will be) we could easily just cut him from the team.

Hasn't Iverson been a locker room problem and/or coach killing force in every town he has played in in the NBA? Why would he suddenly not be a cancer now? Can someone explain that to me?

He may be realizing that he aint a Star anymore. I could quite understand why he was such a Cancer before. A Young Star in the league who saw himself as one of the greatest ever.
But hey. They also said that Stephon Marbury would hurt this team, he didnt.
Every person deserves a second chance even Iverson. We shouldnt just judge him because of the acts in the past.

Actually the way you judge people is exactly based on past acts.

He got a second chance in Memphis. Then he got a thrid chance in Philly. How many chances does a guy get before people realize that this sudden enlightenment of people away from what they were their whole life to something different is mostly a Hollywood movie fairly tale that barely happens in real life.

AI wants another chance, have him get it elsewhere. We don't need him.

As said he could end up being a Low Risk High Reward. We got absolutely NOTHING to lose. We could EASILY cut him without hurting our Cap.

What is the high reward?  Scoring 25 points in 35 min and 40% shooting while being a liability on defense?

No, thank you.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

To me, the Celtics is the one organization where he might pick up a bit of what it means to be a team. I see Doc & the big three as the ultimate "breaker of egos". There's no way anyone can think they're better than those four people together. They came together, and won a title. Simple as that. They're a FORCE.

And it's my belief that those four can break down anyone's ego, and build them back up as a solid team-player. And when they fail, it's game over for the person they're trying to 'rehab'. Out. Gone.

My thoughts exactly. Although I do still have a tiny little bit of hope left for whatever reason.

I would invite him to training camp to see where he's at but I'm guessing he's lost too much. I do think he's learned his lesson and wont be a diva. I wouldn't be holding out too much hope though cause I think he's done. Worth a look nonetheless.
