Say what you want about him, but this guy could flat out play. Not only that, he wants to play (Unlike our very own Celtic stars). AI will be a great fit for this team. I said this before during the summer. After Watching the games the Celts have played we still suffer from the same thing as last year. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen are playing a lot of minutes. 1 of those guys are always in with the Bench either as the 1-2-or 3. Hey whats the worse that could happen? Eddie House is slumping :'(, Sheed for three = clank ::), Marquis can't shoot :-X.

Desirable Bench Roster:
Allen Iverson
Eddie House
Marquis Daniels
Shelden Williams/Glen Davis
Rasheed Wallace

Iverson most likely will be released shortly after that Tinsley signing, so we better go get'em.

Based on what?  How does AI want to play?  More accurately, he wants to play on his terms, and only on his terms.

Also, who on our team doesn't want to play?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
He could pull a Marbury, but that's pretty unlikely.

The guy just quit his team after 3 games because he didn't start and didn't get enough playing time according to him, and you want to sign him as a player for our bench? Yeah, right. ::)

I'm not gonna lie, I don't know if it would work out, but I want him here. I don't think he would have as big a problem coming off the bench for a good, winning team.

yeah can't see him coming here suddenly willing to come off the bench when he already quit on the pistons and grizz out of protest.

Sheed probably isn't too fond of him from last year, right?  I didn't follow the Pistons that closely last year.

The effort the Celtics have put out lately have been bogus. Forget Sheed not being too fond. We need people that wanna play. There hasn't been a time I witnessed Iverson being on the floor not wanting to play, giving his all. Iverson loves to play, especially on a good team like this, he'll love it. Rondo needs help man, let's face it!!! Let's say Rondo suffers an injury who would we point to??? exactly A.I. will foam from the mouth with a chance to start on good like ours. ;D ;D ;D ;D C'MON!!!! DANNY AINGE!!!! BRING ON A.I.!!!!

Tomy point for that. He''l be great on this team. He's in shape and ready to play. I guarantee he gets a lot of run over here Playing the 1 or 2. ;)

We want AI to join the Lakers and ruin their chemistry.

We want AI no where near the Celtics.

Only if he gets someone to Gilooly Rondo's knee during practice.

Seriously, AI was unhappy getting 20+ minutes a game in Memphis. Why would he be happier getting less time in Boston? Plus, getting AI means House's minutes are cut, which makes him less, not more effective.

Subtraction by addition. AI doesn't help this team.

High risk with potentially very high return. Gotta go with A.I. Yeah, he may be a chemistry killer and if so, cut him loose. The Lakers have Artest, the least we can do is counter with A.I. The guy can score like few players who have ever played the game. So what if he's not the same player he was, maybe he will be when we need him the most.

Why do the Celtics need him?

They already have four guys that can do what he does; jack up a lot of shots and score 20+ points while having a bad shooting %.

He doesn't help with defense.  He doesn't help with rebounding.  He kills the locker room.

Y'all trippin'.

This guy's a disgrace. And I would consider myself a fan up until this Memphis debacle.
