The good thing is that he'll be on the 2nd unit, and he'll be able to do little ballhogging and it won't be such a bad thing.  I don't like the guy, but he's going to be an impact player, something Gabe won't be this year.

don't think for a minute the boston players dont want them....the big three were pushing him to tcut ties and get on with playing in boston....and eddie house just became a MUCH better player...

second unit:

PG Marbury/pruitt
SG eddie
C Moore/babby
SF Scal
PF powe/baby

not bad....marbury will help with bench scoring

Good second unit for the rest of the regular season; there won't be a "second unit" in the playoffs however.

This may mean that Eddie House is largely bumped from the playoff rotation if Tony Allen is healthy.  While House is the better player, somebody has to guard the very talented swingmen that the C's will face, and with Rondo, Ray, and PP all playing close to 40 minutes per game, there probably won't be enough minutes to go around.

more like...he help with stagnating the offense, dribbling into triple teams and single-handedly killing ball-movement all while trying his hardest to prove he's better than Rondo. If I'm Rondo right now I'm growing eyes in the back of my head right now.
I think this would be a huge problem if he's a starter.  But if he has a green light as a scoring threat on the 2nd unit, maybe he won't pound the ball for 20 seconds trying to act like a true point guard.

I know it will never happen, but I am still hoping Doc will give my man Billy Walker some more run to ease the minutes of PP and Ray.

Well, is he an "Iverson" we KNOW what he does...there is only one ball out there. Don't forget to put Leon out there, his is the most active rebounder on the team, offensive rebounds, now if he could only keep from getting his shot blocked!!! A little more post moves, maybe work it back outside...? Scal does not rebound. I don't know, Marbury complained about not getting the ball enough back in Minnesota with KG, (a recent posting) He may be a spark though....we'll see..! Walker looks strong out there, major slasher, dunks strong, good shot....

I am excited to see him and Rondo on the floor together if it they do play together. It may not work but this would be I nice small and fast line up.
-Rondo
-Marbury
-R Allen
-Peirce
-Garnett
I think this unit would be lethal, fast and high scoring(Up-tempo)
L.A. Clippers
Derrick Rose Blake Griffin 4.11 5.3 5.15 6.11 7.15 8.11 9.15 10.11 11.15 12.11 13.15

Heck all Marbury has to do is pass the ball 20% more than Cassell did last year and we'll be in great shape!  :D

I don't want Marbury with the starters at all.

20+ years ago, the C's brought in a chronic malcontent/headcase named Dennis Johnson and that one worked out pretty well.  So there is precedence.  Only thing is DJ was a proven winner before he got here.  Marbury has never won anything.

Given the lack of other options however, I say why not?  But whether this works or not, the remainder of the season just got incredibly more interesting.

Perhaps Stephon takes this as a chance to prove everybody wrong and plays well for us.

sorry but i think you are totally wrong...boston wasn't winning a title with the bench they had...danny did what we all screamed to do...and joe smith prolly isnt going anywhere...so who else do you sign? byron russell? horry?

What Kedrick Brown wasn't available?? All kidding aside, my point is not who we should've gone with instea. I haven't looked over the waiver wire lately. My point is what player is a bad idea? That player is Stephon Marbury, bar none. That's it. The "who else should we get?" argument holds no water.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

What do you propose we do come playoff time where we will see the likes of Joe Johnson, Hedo Turkoglu, LeBron James, Rip Hamilton, and Kobe Bryant?  Do you expect to play Pierce 48 mpg?  If TA is healthy, we need him to play 10 minutes of hard defense a game.

If Stephon Marbury fits in and Tony Allen gets healthy, I think there's a very strong possibility that come playoff time, Eddie House is relegated to a spot up three point shooter at the end of quarters.
