This is awesome news. I am extremely excited now.

I kind of view the risk as Manny joining the dodgers. I know Manny and Marbury are not the same level in their respective sports, but I do believe that Marbury on our 2nd unit will have a huge impact. He is joining a championship caliber team and just made our 2nd unit significantly more powerful. He will be on his best behavior like the superb Manny cancer that was chased out of Boston last year. He is also playing not only for a title, but for a new contract next year. He has friends on our team and has a huge chip on his shoulder he has been carrying for a long time. Now it is time for him to become our super addition and help us get back to where we were last year. Number 18 looks a lot closer to me.

If he proves me wrong, he gets the boot. But he wont...he has too much to prove and everything to lose

i like a marbury match up against boobie gibson..jordan farmar....and if rondo struggles...gets hurt....fouls...they have a bonafide starting PG to plug in...

I know... scary. Marbury going at full speed for 15-20 minutes will torch those dudes.

15-20 of Marbury on defense against those 2 might have Cleveland and LA smiling too.

They can't be smiling more than when Eddie House plays D.

Right. I'll take Marbury over Farmar/Gibson this spring any day of the week.

Good move! He will be back in a up tempo style that had him playing great in Phoenix. If you let him play to his suiting, he performs admirably & thats all we can ask for. Also, the Lakers cant just sag off Rondo for 4 quarters & make him shoot jumpers & expose Rondo. We can simply insert Marbury & have him attack the same way Rondo does & make Kobe defend honestly!

low risk pick up...an all star point off the bench (which is what we all screamed for)...a 7 footer off the bench...and boston got to keep baby, powe and the 2 rooks....boston can use steph in many ways....as a 2...as the point...with the starters...without the starters....very versitle and it give doc some options

i look for the cavs to try to add someone...it wont be joe smith...

The Cavs will get the only guy that can get in Ray's head...

"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Wait wait when did you go back to wdleehi? That is a much more important question than any that can arise from Starbury.

If Starbury can turn over a new leaf, so can Wide Load.  He was the cancer of the Celticsblog staff.  By going back to wdleehi, we think he can become a solid contributor for the rest of the season.
