I generally agree.  However,

1) Danny doesn't seem to buy into this philosophy, as based upon last off-season; and

2) What player or players is/are out there that will give us a better chance at winning than Rondo?  I mean, we already won a championship with the kid starting, and he's been better this season.

I'd like to see what the OP would view as an acceptable Rondo trade. Especially considering that since Marbury is not currently available we'd need to get back a championship team caliber point guard.

That is in addition to the other pieces that would be valuable enough to be worth blowing up the team. I wonder if San Antonio would build a package around Tim Duncan and Tony Parker?  ::)

Rondo is in the top 3 of the NBA's best production for contract output with Durant and Derrick Rose.

Ha Ha Ha Ha, yeah, Rondo has definitely reached his plateau and we better trade him now before he loses his trade value. After all, once his shot gets better he will certainly lose his trade value. And, its always writtend that guys reach there athletic peak at around 26 or 27 so we better trade him before he reaches that because surely he will get worse if he is more athletic. I will go out on a little bit of a limb and say that he is probably the least likely player to get traded in the next few years.

It's good to wake up and get a good laugh first thing in the a.m. Thanks for that. Can we also fire Danny and sit Paul in the 4th quarter of a close game? Oops, I think we recently did the later.
