best show ever! i think a lot of you missed the point, its was always about what defines humanity from beginning to end. this was a good night of TV. i got a good Celts win and a good end to a good show. Boo-yah; yeah i'm bringing it back.
I agree with you, I loved the last episode and the whole show was just great.
I discovered BSG this summer so I didn't follow it since 2003 but still I'm sad the show has ended. I'm just disappointed by the missing revelations (Starbuck disappearing like David Copperfield? what the hell?!), and I think that it'd have been better to end up the show with the scene of Adama near Roslin's tumb or on Gaius discussing with Caprica and the Head people. The NY scene (with Moore as a "guest", um...) was interesting but I would have preferred the previous scenes as an ending.
The discovery of Earth with African tribes is a really good twist, and the first part of the episode, with the finale battle is just amazing, it passed so quickly! It was brillantly done. Cavil's end, the Opera House visions coming true (even if it was far different from the original visions), the Chief killing Tory (take that bi***!

), Gaius and Caprica discovering at the same time that the other was also seeing a Head people , Gaius doing his speech and finally acting like a man, the truce between Cylons and Humans which longs about 5 minutes before Tyrol blows it out, Starbuck leading the Galactica to Earth... such great moments!
The characters' new life on Earth is also very interesting. I'm glad that the writers did find a good ending for each character. The scenes with Roslin and Adama are really sad but beautiful, I'm not a fan of love stories but this one was perfectly done throughout the whole serie and its ending is powerful. Adama's final "retirement" is great, such as Tyrol's, Tigh's, Baltar's or Lee's.
In my opinion, Gaius Baltar is definitely the best character of BSG and I loved his role in the final episode while he wasn't very present in the 4th season. Sure the missing revelations are bothering me but as I've said it already, what really matters is the characters and they deserved such a beautiful ending. I'm sad there won't be no more episodes of this show (Caprica doesn't count) but I'll keep enjoying rewatching it again and again!
