  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Rockets Select Thomas, Tyrus

It is not your turn, it is the Cav's pick. You have already picked.

I think the Commish is still considering the Rockets' appeal, but it's looking like he's going to get a do-over, due to legitimate confusion.

It would be different from my perspective if Jsaad was the only one confused, but three or four other GMs seem to be, as well.  Out of fundamental fairness (and in the spirit of fun, since this isn't exactly a cut-throat competition) I think a re-do is fine.

(Again...  that's only my vote.  wdleehi has the final call.)

Agreed.  It's a 6th round pick in a game people came up with to pass time at work.  No use getting upset over it.  And since Ty Thomas wasn't on my list of players at this pick, I don't have to call shenanigans on the administration.   :)
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I drafted Kristic on the assumption that he could play for my team next year as well.  I agree that if contracts don't count...they don't count.

He's not NBA draft eligible, so he can't be taken.

problem is, if that holds true, ill tell you right now im going off the grid and taking one of the more promising euro's with the 7th pick (my next one) they'll have way more value than some of the NBA players left.

contracts and nba draft avalablity should count. though in fairness, childress and kristic probley should hav ebeen taken off the pre draft list

Yeah apparently make believe is only make believe in certain cases. I lost an 11/4 out of the deal so don't feel bad.

if he gets a re-do on childress, i wanna rescind my trade for and then draft of Kristic in Round 5.  i gave up a haul (2 round 6 picks) assuming he could play for me.

Also if your eyes are closed for that pic it is inconsistent with the ruling from the Brand pick in round 1.

Or I'll take childress and have him with immediate impact

Well said ChampKid  :)

I will say that I too was unclear that NBAers (Childrss, Krstic, Delfino, Garbajosa, Boykins) who left for Europe were potentially ineligble to play.  So it wasn't just Jsaad...

But I say let the Commish rule, and for people to just agree to abide by Commish's ruling.

But I think too that in Childress' case all Jsaad would have to do is pay him $7-8M/yr and Childress is back in the NBA, that's just IMO.  That's just a few mil/yr than Posey got and Posey is 7-8 years older....

Now Krstic could do the same thing, but he's also coming of a pretty legit knee injury so that factors in (and likely did into where you picked him...)

I'm so confused? Are we allowing a repick? Are we allowing a repick of the Kristic pick? If not who's pick is it?

IMO the rule should be you are allowed to pick NBA players who went to the NBA and count them on your team (Boykins, Kristic, Arroyo, Childress) but not prospects who have not yet/ never will come to the NBA (that Papoloukas guy )
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

No, this is a completely different circumstance.

Has he made himself available to the NBA?

As available as Childress.  He is old enough and has signed on to play in another league.  Which is what childress did.  However he can help me in later years
