If the Lakers and Bucks don't make their picks by 7pm EST do they lose their second rounders?

if they do can i claim them?

also, rebus can you not write "dirk rip" in your sig - it makes me think terrible things. thanks.

I don't know. I might be willing to change it for a pick. ;D

Charlotte, NC -  In a clear and desperate move to alleviate their serious concerns and strengthen their obvious bench depth,  the Charlotte Bobcats have recently completed two trades (pending league approval) to provide them with additional picks.

The following trades (pending league approval) have been completed:

Bobcats trade:  3rd round (#26)
Wizards trade:  4th round (#2), 5th round (#8), 9th round (#8), 9th round (#29)

followed by:

Bobcats trade: 9th round (#8), 9th round (#29)
Hornets trade: 12th (#7), 13th (#24), 14th (#7), 15th (#24)

When asked for comment Larbrd33 said, "Our historical 7 pick for 1 pick trade received a lot of well deserved publicity, but ultimately we discovered that it left us with only 5 players to field a team with.   We liked who was available with the 3rd round (#26) pick, but the opportunity to cut our loses and turn it into 6 players was too much to pass up.   In the long run, we ended up going from 7 picks to 6, but unfortunately it was all the market currently allowed.  I apologize to our fanbase for failing them."

In related news, Bobcat season ticket holders have started rioting in the streets of Charlotte.  Authorities have apprehended the 6 fans.

Let me just add:  PENDING LEAGUE APPROVAL.

Haha... I don't think it's up to rival GM's to decide what someone elses strategy is.   If we allowed for safety nets from other posters, we'd have to go back and let the guy who took Rondo have a "do over".  We'd have to go back and let the guys who took Rasheed and Ray Allen a "do over".  We'd have to go back into the 1st round and GIVE ROBB LEBRON JAMES BACK... we'd have to go back and let the guy who took Monta Ellis have a do over...

and we'd have to give Redz the opportunity to trade his 10th and 14th rounder back for Andre Iguodala.   It's all a matter of perception, strategy and what's available.   I see the next round being 20 deep... i don't blame anyone for putting high premium on picks in that round especially when I conceivably can see 20 allstar-level players getting drafted in that round.

and we'd let celticmaestro punch the last hornets gm in the face and get his picks back!!!!

Let's wait for commissioner approval before announcing trades.

It is up to his discretion.

Eh...  not my call, because I'm not a "voting" member of the NBA front office.

That being said (personal opinion only) Redz' trade was a lot more defensible than this one.  He moved up 15+ picks in seven different rounds (including the 3rd, 5th, and 7th, where there is good value), plus got two late round picks.

If moving up six slots is worth four draft picks, how much is the 105 slots Redz moved up worth? ;)

(Plus, if the 3rd is "20 deep", why so much value on the #26 pick?  ;D)

30 Team Roster Page is up & running now.

However, I'm not going to be the most active updater on it.
