Is somebody going to put all the teams in NBA 2K8 and simulate a season or is that just a rumour?

No, I'd do that if anyone was into that, and if the commish thought it was a good idea.

We thought about it last year, but I think it was kinda clear who the top teams were and it became unnecessary.   I think that was my problem when I first took over the Nets job last year... I was like "oh... nba live?  Well in that case... i'll just take Marbury and tick everyone off when my team of Marbury, Grant hill and Chris Webber outperforms their real world counterparts".

I wouldn't suggest using the nba2k8 thing as a template for what to do with this draft.

Well according to the NBA first and second team voting Amare was the 6th best player in the league who I believe I got in the middle of the first round. Shaq was a disappointment but he would have been more effective in the half court flex offense I was running with the Clippers. I also had Corey Maggette who only averaged around 20 points a game. I also had Peja who was completely deadly for the Hornets. If I had the complete list of my players in front of me now I would be better equipped to defend myself. I rememeber that when we presented our team I got a lot of support for the idea that I would win the West. (Anyway you could give me links to last years threads)
This year I will continue to do what I did well last year and improve upon the mistakes that I made (absolutely no way I pick Shaq this year, and people killed me for not having a pure point).

Not to get into this debate, but I'm 95% sure you didn't have Maggette, since I drafted him and trade him to Portland's GM at the time. ;)  I'm just teasing you with the Amare / Shaq stuff, though.

It's interesting to see how things worked out, though.  For instance, I traded Maggette and Corey Brewer for Bargnani and Mike Dunleavy.  Who knew that Maggette and Dunleavy would be the stars of that trade, and Bargnani and Brewer would be such disappointments?  I loved my late round picks, though:  Ronnie Brewer in the 12th and K. Azubuike in the 13th.  That turned out brilliantly.  Really, in hindsight, the only pick I would want back is the Bargnani one; everything else worked out spectacularly.

Unfortunately, though, we had a crash in our archives, and pretty much everything prior to mid-April this season is gone.

Well since no one can verify who was on what team because of a crash in the archives I am going to say my team won the championship. Again because no one can varify this my team consisted of Lebron, Kobe, CP, Amare and Shaq.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon

Haha.  Well, Lucky17 might disagree, since he had Lebron.  I can't remember who had Kobe, though.

I'm pretty sure Chicago (Donoghus) had KG.  I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

I can't quite remember my starting five.

I think it was Jarret Jack, LeBron, Jason Richardson, Karl Malone, and Bill Russell.

Because I might have to undo my edits on the draft board, I need confirmation from all parties in trades before I can approve it.

With that said, be kind to me this weekend.  Don't make to many trades.  There is a good chance I will not be able to get to them until Monday after gymnastics.  (I have two year old daughter funny guys)
