Toronto- The raptors have made 2 trades today acquiring a 3, 4th, and 3 6th round picks. "I think we can get a tremendous value at all those picks." Said the Toronto GM.  "Right now we are pretty happy with where we are but are exploring options to package all 4 6th round picks for a pick where we can get an elite player."  This is in addition to Toronto looking to add to their home court advantage by converting their floor into a slamball court.  "Naturally  its a different approach than what alot of teams are going for but we think if we draft correctly we can use the trampolines to add an explosiveness factor to our team"
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Charlotte, NC -  News coming out of Charlotte is that GM LarBrd33 is currently in a state of panic about staying competitive with the Portland Trailblazers.   Reportedly, LarBrd33 is having serious discussions with at least 4 different teams that would include anything from pick #17 in the 1st round to pick #22 in the 9th... A decision is expected within the next few hours.

My team was:

PG Stephon Marbury/Maurice Williams
SG Michael Redd
SF Grant Hill
PF Chris Webber
C Yao Ming...

I think proceeded to turn that into:

PG - Deron Williams
SG - Rip Hamilton
SF - Andre Iguodala
PF - Chris Bosh
C - Dwight HOward
--
6th man - Antawn Jamison
7th man - Raefer Alston

.....

wow how did you do that....that is impressive.

ANyway, I know this might be a dumb question, but when you trade players, do you have to trade the same value +/- 20% of the salary? Do the commish just plug the players in the ESPN trade machine?
Anything is possible!!!

There are no salary restrictions on trades, and there's no salary cap.

Just wanted to let you know I have received quite a few trades.  But I have been to busy today to actually look at them or rubber stamp them.  I don't know if I will get a chance to really look at it tomorrow so it might not be until right before the draft that I can stamp them.

Quick side note, I got a couple of TPs for the poster that can find me the best rubber stamp to use.

Unless someone is a really big math nerd that wants to break down salaries, I have no interest in worrying about it.

I know of a pretty good rubber stamp.  I think the brand name is Roy Hobbs.

Charlotte, NC -- BREAKING NEWS (pending league approval) -  The Bobcats have acquired the #16 pick in the upcoming draft.   The Bobcats currently have three picks in the first round (#8,  #16 and #17).   Prospects of a "Big Three" have the 6 Bobcat season ticket holders excited about the upcoming season.  When asked about the news, LarBrd33 (GM of the Bobcats) released the following statement:

"I appreciate the fan enthusiasm.  However, I will again ask that the fans wait until this process is completed.  I do not intend on keeping the 8th, 16th and 17th picks and I am listening to several offers from various teams about bringing in one of those picks.   It would be wise not to get too attached to this idea of a "big three" as we currently have serious depth concerns that I hope to address in the next few days."

Can I just make my pick now?

With the fourth selection in the 2008 Celticsblog draft, the Portland Trailblazers select Kobe Bryant.

Portland team president Roy Hobbs indicated that the team intends to fit Kobe with a chastity belt and an ankle bracelet.  Hobbs stated "Kobe is a disgusting human being, but he's a hell of a basketball player.  We're proud -- if a little nauseated - to build around him".

Breaking news... the jailblazers add another rapist to their blooming squad.  Laker fans rejoice at the hilarity.

Yep.  Tell you how big of a math nerd it will to take to work out the salaries of 30 newly drafted teams.
