News from Atlanta:

At a press conference this morning, Hawks GM Lucky17 introduced newly hired assistant coach Flip Saunders.

"We're pleased to add Flip to our coaching staff. He's established himself as a accomplished coach in this league, and his gifts for developing offensive strategies will help Coach McMillan immensely."

Saunders will be accompanied by two others with connections to the Pistons: former strength and conditioning coach Arnie Kander, and trainer Mike Abdenour.

"Those are two of the best at what they do," gushed Saunders. "I swear they both have added years to the careers of guys like Rip Hamilton and Antonio McDyess. Mike's got 30 years of experience in the league, and Arnie is on the cutting edge of homeopathic and naturopathic sports medicine."

Per team policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed, although they are all believed to be 2-year deals.

When prompted for comments regarding the draft, Lucky said, "We've had a lot of discussion internally about revising our draft strategy. We may decide to go in a completely different direction now. I'm looking at all sorts of possibilities: dropping down in the 1st, dropping out, acquiring some additional picks. It's going to be a busy couple of days leading up to Monday. Busy, but fun."

Rocket management confirmed they will select Kobe Bryant with the #4 pick if he is available.

Management is speculating that because of this draft taking place of a pro-Celtic site the reining MVP could fall into their lap “I think Kobe might be there for the taking with Lebron, Dwight and CP3 going top 3” GM Jsaad said when reached by phone.

The excitement is building for the draft on Monday.

News out of Charlotte --  A trade has just been sent to the league offices and is pending approval from the commish.   More details forthcoming.  Rumors of a 3rd and even potentially a 4th team involvement persist.  However, insider sources confirm this trade has nothing to do with the rumored Atlanta/Detroit trade that has reportedly also been sent to the league offices.

Reports from Atlanta's front office confirm a trade with Detroit, involving a swap of first round picks.

Detroit will now select at #12, while the Hawks now hold pick #22 in the first round, with additional picks exchanged between the two clubs.

Specifics of the deal are forthcoming, pending league approval.

Commish reports he is finally off the road.  He is to tired right now to put in all the trades he has received into the draft board so he will wait to announce them.  He reports there are at least 4 trades involving 1st round picks.
