They are maximizing championship window instead of extending their playoff participation window. Wish some teams respected the difference.

The Knicks are lucky Brunson agreed to take a large discount. He is making $37M this year. When your best player is making significantly less than they are worth, it is a lot easier to fill out a roster.
Despite Brunson's salary, the Knicks are still outspending the Celts. And, every player mentioned will be count less against the cap than Ron Harper, Jr. this season. Similarly, as much as I root for Walsh, I'm not sure that paying him twice the minimum for minimum-level production will be in our best interest next season.
